San Francisco 49ers @49ers
#49ers waived WR Charly Martin and signed P Colton Schmidt to a three-year deal. http://49rs.me/nGjoG

You're right. Great report; more details than the "beat writers".

Jumping the gun a bit there. He hasnt won the starting job yet. No doubt that he COULD win the starting job. Do like hearing others w/ that much confidence in the young man.

What the hell is going on here? I caught this convo half way through and had to run it back to figure out why people were saying Colt would win starting job.

Why? Because he's outperforming CK in TC. While CK is busying throwing INT's and staring down receivers, McCoy is droppin 70 yard bombs.

This. Also Kaepernick has been throwing too hard and injuring players. McCoy's passes come down more like punts, so there's less of a chance of the whole starting offense ending up on IR. It's only a matter of time before Kaep kills someone with an erratic pass and I don't think the coaching staff wants to take that risk.
