The 49ers fear WR Michael Crabtree tore his Achilles on Tuesday. Crabtree is undergoing additional tests to confirm the injury.
AJ, Patton, and Lockette will need to step up it big time now. More pressure on AJ.
Dont worry you guys AJ Jenkins got dis doe

f**k YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
s**t.

Dude just got easier to resign He just lost his chance to prove he's worth $10M / year. Now we can see what we have with Quinton Patton and AJ Jenkins before we work on Crabtree's next deal.

Just looking at the bright side.
we have him for 2 more seasons. suggs came back from his achillies...he might come back late in season lets see
Look at the bright side, at least we can resign him for less money. On a serious note, hope he recovers well and get's a chance to play late into the season.
Damn! We'll be alright guys. These young WR's are going to step up and play big this season! They don't have a choice. Kaep will get them in line before the season starts. Lets hope both Michael and Mario recover with some Adrian Peterson type mojo because we need them both back ASAP! We're really having no luck with the health of our WR's. SUCKS!
This would be devastating for our season if Alex Smith was still QB. Kaep is going to step up and make the entire receiving corp better.

I was expecting a 1,400 yd+ season out of Crabtree though.

$hitty news.

Two of the top three wide receivers are injured.

This is not good.

Targets in Colin Kaepernick's 10 starts in 2012: 1. Michael Crabtree 94; T2. Vernon Davis 39, T2. Randy Moss 39. #49ers
This sucks if true, but a couple of things:
  • Expanded role for AJ & QP. We see what they have right now. Non of this redshirt stuff.
  • We see what Boldin still has left.
  • Even more creative use of personnel now that our #1 will be out. (more LMJ!!)
  • Easier contract to re-sign (if that's the route team wants to take)

We won't sign him for any less. There is no bright side.

Waaaaay different positions.
Well, theres about 80 catches and 1100 yards to split between...

Davis, McDonald, Boldin, Williams, Jenkins, Patton, Lockette, and Manningham when he get's healthy.

Hopefully, Crabs can make it back by the end of the season.
