people need to stop trying to label our defense as a solely a 3-4 lol.

Good chance he stays he was considered a bust before coming hereOriginally posted by thl408:Originally posted by NYniner85:Dorsey has been playing well and seems to be healthy, I think he needs to be looked at as a cheap resign sooner than later.
I can see him wanting to hit the FA market and leveraging for his final 'big' contract. Overpay him. Still shouldn't be that much imo. 2 years at $4 per should do it. Go $5 per if needed.

Originally posted by Matchuu84:In a way he is a bust. Not in a, 'he's not an NFLer' type of way, but he was the 5th overall pick and has only put together a career as a run stuffer. He was projected to be much more coming out of the draft.

Didn't know Haley did a scheme switch on him. I'll post some gifs of him from the MIA game. It was a very different way for him to play. He was slashing as a 1tech and was a handful for the MIA center.

He was drafted to play the three technique in Herm Edwards Tampa 2 defense and be the penetrating defensive tackle. He was switched to a 3-4 end in his second season, when the Chief's hired Todd Haley and they installed a 3-4. He wasn't converted to the Nose until he signed with the 49ers and didn't really become an acceptable run stuffer until Tomsula became his coach.
When he left the Chief's, he was considered disappointing as both a run stuffer and a pass rusher. In the very least, he's never became what he was drafted to be or lived up to his draft slot but at least he's managed to carve out some kind of role for himself to prolong his NFL career. The run defense has definitely been a night and day difference since he really grabbed a stronghold on that nose spot.

Lol thanks. Surely it'll pay off when one of them is changing my diapers at 3 am one day. Maybe one of them will be a doctor and be able to afford some adult pull ups for ole pops.
