I never thought Kaep would be the starter
This year is very odd....and on top of it we only lost 2 games

the people that think ginn is gonna get deactivated don't appreciate his value on special teams. ginn will not be deactivated this season. we need him to do the returns.

i had hoped lmj would have been able to contribute on special teams. i think he's still learning the pro game. i bet he's nowhere near being able to be able to pick up blitzes.

Is it not obvious by now that they are not gonna dress unless one of the active 46 get injured?

I thot LMJ was a "situational" pick at #2, and AJ would be learning this yr ...didn't expect him not to see the field. Food for thot:
LMJ had trouble fielding punts, as in he fumbled one after another in TC. Maybe he is that way with passes too, but I don't know.
From early TC reports, AJ had trouble catching the ball, tho he was hell on wheels in college. Like Jerry Rice, he seems to run faster with the ball, than without it. I don't think JH had any desire to have two guys, even if our two top picks, get out on the field and show the world that they are fumblers, or can't catch. Yet with baalke's and JH history, albeit short, their first draft resulted in Kap, ALL DONE, and Miller. Not bad for a first draft...but not many liked it . Maybe this yrs draft will unfold the same way.

to me next season:
AJ will replace Ginn
and James will be on the active roster over Dobbs or Brock's spot

Jreff has it about 100% right. Young guy ,inexperienced, gets a pass, muffs it, opponents recover, game over. That is a simple scenario, but there are tons others. You just don't want rooks capable of rook mistakes to beat you with 6 games to go. If alex is healthy, he would get my vote to start. Unfortunately, head dings are very subjective, and whereas you can see 20/20, you may not be making steriling decisions. Yet, if truly healthy upstairs , I want him starting rest of yr and post season...just because Kap is liable to make rook mistakes, which is expected....but you can't do that late in season. If alex is even questionable, I want Kap out there.
In that case I'd rather play my rook than somebody who has trouble getting his thots together. How you determine this...that one I don't know.
