Aldon Smith, who sustained a right hip bruise in the exhibition opener, wore game socks and cleats. It's not known if -- or how much -- he will play. He took part in pregame warmups, but was not yet moving without any problems.

It's also uncertain how much action inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman will see. Bowman missed practice time last week with a knee injury.
