I'm glad he's staying, but I still think you can't discount the trama done to Smith by his OC almost leaving. Hopefully, it doesn't effect him in the playoffs or next year. At least if he plays poorly we'll know why.

The title of this thread is misleading. Sorry. Just because Roman is not going to Penn State, does not mean he will not will leave for another opportunity to be a head coach. Now that his name has been circulating, he just might get interviews in the off season. Regardless, the 49ers front office is now aware of his intentions and should be prepared early enough in case he departs prior to next season.

I still think that Roman's camp was the one who leaked that he was a finalist. I guess its better to say "Roman was a finalist for the PSU job, than he was offered the Tulane job and declined." Oh well he can leave after next year.

meh 13-3 is because defense and strong running game.
29th ranked passing game, barely 3000 yards passing in a league that allows 4000 very easily, 17 Td passes and awful red zone Td percentage.
But its all good.
