Larry Grant did OK, but we would have beat Arizona, if P. Willis was in the game

IF we had Josh Morgan, we would have won.
If we had a prime Jerry Rice we would have won.
IF the OL knew how to recognize and block a cross rush and how to do same for blitzes...
IF the guy calling the O plays (and i don't think it was Coach Harbaugh) had any sense of clever play calling...
IF the DBs played tighter on the WRs....
IF the D calls had been anything but vanilla....
IF Ginn....
IF my uncle didn't have balz he'd be my aunt...
IF,IF,IF...

Accepting all the above, with p-52 we would have won. I agree with the OP, Wewillwin...That said, p-willy is indestructible, but a guy with a hamstring pull(actually tiny little tears in individual muscle cells), has no business playing and the longer he doesn't play the better. Much as I'd like us to beat Pitts, I don't want to see p-52 out there. I just want him out until playoffs. Give that hamstring time to heal...really heal. Look it up. Most common reason for a hamstring injury is....a previous hamstring injury. Time doesn't heal all ,but it sure helps. Give the OP a hand. He was right. For a team that makes a tackle on first contact 90% of the time( i believe that is the stat), in Az we made lots of tackles after missing the first one. And most often it was in p-52s zone. OP wins the point.
Would be nice if our qb didn't get spooked like a little b***h and run from the pocket even when the line is doing it's job (as Smith did on niners final offensive play).
Seriously, only Smith would get nervous and run 20 yards behind the LOS on a 4th and 1 play.

And he had no pressure on that play.

Our inability to score in da redzone cost us dat game.

You, and everyone else criticizing the offense in this thread, are clearly missing the point of the OP.

Im not missing the point I jus don't TOTALLY agree with. While IT IS a good point, I believe that had the offense scored more TDs' instead of FGs' & WON. It would've overshadow LG's play. Instead of his play being solid like it was, it sticks out like a sore thumb & it should be seen as sumthing time & practice can fix. That's what I'm sayin. If anything our redzone offense has costed us two games(cowgirls & tards) & maybe us being undefeated. If it doesn't get fix soon, it's gonna cost us a SUPERBOWL(YA I SAID IT).
Grant missed some key tackles that Willis would have cleaned up and P Willis is better in pass defense as well BUT do I blame the loss on Grants play?? Absolutely not!!!! I blame it on our guys not executing on both sides of the ball. BAD BAD LOSS for us but pick up the pieces and move on... We play like that this week and I don't care if they have big Ben/Harrison or not we will get beat like a drum...
We better come out with 1 step snap it and sling it, or in the parlance, Hot reads, from the gitgo. We will be seeing Balt and AZ all over again...deja vu all over again. Do that, and we can dink and dunk our way down field, not showy, but very Brady and Brees like. Montana like also, and he didn't do all that badly. Anything less than that is a guaranteed L for us on Mon nite, unless Ginn runs a pair back or D scores. Either way, the play calls better not take more than 1-2 seconds or 1 step by alex, if that, or we will be seeing Kapernick by the midpoint of first qtr. Alex will be comatose from being creamed. Jeez, just how hard is it to convince JH to make his own calls or tell Roman no 3, 5 or 7 steppers and throw 3 rollout options each half...or more. But for heaven's sakes, do not aks alex to take a 3, 5 or 7 step drop or he will get killed. Kap won't last long with that mindset either if he has to replace a beaten up alex. Quick hitters. Quick outs/slants until D stops the jail break blitzes. then run frank, and take 3, 5 or 7 steppers.
like someone said earlier. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Its in the past now. Lets focus in on the Steelers. Do you really think the players are thinking back on the cardinals game? Nope not right now. they reviewed the mistakes and now are focusing in on the steelers to make sure those mistakes don't happen again. we as fans should be thinking the same way.
Still can't believe we didn't run the ball on 3rd down. Only Alex would get his ball batted down sigh
