Michael Crabtree was one of the greatest college wide receivers of all time. There was a lot of hype about him when he was coming into the NFL. Are you satisfied with his play so far? Are you disapointed? Lets not forget that he was drafted number 10 OVERALL, and he sat out the first quarter of his rookie season.

Absolutely not. The numbers don't lie.

That's what I keep coming back to. It's increasingly looking as if we paid top dollar for a pretty average slot receiver. I'll happily concede that he still appears to have considerable development potential, but I'm not sure how much we can bank on that development given a pattern of behavior that seems to indicate that, bluntly, he's more than a bit work shy.

Eh, what's done is done, I guess. At least he's had a good November.

Up to this point I would have to say that I'm a little dissatisfied. I was hopeful that he would be much more productive by now. I am encouraged though, the last few weeks have seen a spike in his production, so I'm hoping that he has turned a corner.

Whoever said he was "fast" during the draft process was a complete moron. He is the epitome of the "quick not fast" saying, his shiftiness and ability to made arm tackles miss is what gave him the edge in college. He's always been about making 1 person miss and after that you were guaranteed a 20 yard reception but if he could sidestep that guy it was over.
