We all make mistakes. Thankfully it looks like Jed has learned from his.

his handling of Jim harbaugh
his hiring of Tomsula, firing after 1 year
hiring Kelly, firing after 1 year

all the way to firing Baalke. it wasn't until then i thought he had learned and felt he was serious about righting the ship. then the contracts he gave Shanahan and Lynch, 6 years... if that didn't validate the lessons he learned and show how serious he was this time around idk what could. and now look where we are. he was patient with Lynch and Kyle, and it paid off.

I use to give Jed a lot of s**t to whoever would listen. Now, buttslaps Jed.. keep up the good work.

Jed lost a brother. His father lost a son. I think Jed realized much ahead the significance of the moment for Mike Shanahan and his son Kyle. It let Jed to set up the opportunity for father and son after the game.

You also have to keep in mind Jed and Kyle kinda grew up around the same time and same people. One has to wonder if that also helps them listen and work with each other.

also i love the genius theory that after stubborn harbaugh, jed purposely made bad hires of tomsula and kelly cause he knew wed tank an get high draft picks, so we could clear our salary cap, acquire high picks, reset the roster and get a big HC Like shanny to start over with a ton of resources. it was just a theory i saw posted but if true, genius.

it's definitely not true, jed made a lot of bad decisions but he hit it out of the park with kyle and john

Jed didn't seem too happy winning the nfc. He's probably like I already did this now go get the real trophy.

He deserved the criticism he received. That's what happens when you replace the best coach you've had since seifert, who went 44-19, with a defensive line coach who rips farts during press conferences.

nah, he didnt deserve EVERYTHING He was getting. especially in here. did he deserve criticism, sure.

but are people really still thinking we should have kept harbaugh??? look at how the end of our last SB went. look at how hes done at michigan. the dudes so stubborn he refuses to adapt. he wouldnt upgrade from roman, look at romans passing offense at baltimore this season, NON EXISTENT. that was us! were better off without him even if we didnt get shanny. him leaving was a good thing.

My only negative feelings towards Eddie was the firing of George. He was a great coach who never got the respect he deserves. That was the end of the dynasty.

I feel like this should be called the 'Hey Jed, things are good, now stay back and don't screw it up' thread.

At that time, to release a coach with that much success was a bad move. Not saying Harbaugh still would have been here. But there was no way Jed was going to get out of that situation without replacing Jim with someone who would provide equal success. He tanked immensely and brought the Niners back to the Dennis Ericson days. He learned from his mistakes and looks to be doing what he needs to now. But he absolutely deserved the criticism he got. it's almost dumbfounding how bad those decisions were post-harbaugh.

Just stay the hell out of the way like he is now. He isn't Eddie D. I think he's came to that realization. Generally speaking, the common fan won't relate to him cause he was born with a golden spoon and didn't have to earn his $$$. Fans just want him to let ShannyLynch do their thing, and stay in the background... like he is now
