Jed York and Baalke didn't do enough research as to why Chip flamed out in Philly. And now you can see that even UCLA is getting tired of Chip Kelly's shtick. He will probably get fired soon.

I will give credit where credit is due. Jed scored a home run with Lynch and Shanahan. But it has taken 3-4 years of misery to get to this point.

It's not inconceivable to believe that Denise DeBartolo York, who is the principal owner of the 49ers, was in some way involved in the final decision to hire Lynch and Shanahan. What Plummer appears to be suggesting, according to what he has heard, is that Jed didn't have the final say.
