To be honest, there wasn't much for a TV show to talk about when it comes to the 49ers win. We only scored 1 touch down, so what are they going to show? They would much prefer to show the Arizona 99 yard punt return, or the dozen touch downs in the GB-SD game. Defense wins championships, but it doesn't make good TV.

what are you talking about, deion said we are for real
Yesterday on the NFLN's game day recap (8:00pm pst), he flat out said that he still wasn't sold. Then they started talking about Greenbay and the Niners being second seed and he flat out dised us with a complete rejection of us making noise in the playoffs. The fact is, he doesn't believe in Alex. Period.

You want a honest answer about our talent and power ranking?
Ask a team who has the 49ers still on their schedule. Then I think the conversation will take a truthful tone.

You know....what's more frustrating than having doubters In the media, or getting no coverage on the networks, is seeing a 49ers segment coming up on the ticker, and then right before they get to it, it'll go to a commercial, and when they return it's no longer even on the ticker..
Every freaking week, multiple times..
This! I don't know how many times I gotta see Giants beat Patriots, Packers beat Chargers...heck, even Broncos "upset" Raiders. We're 7-1 (4-0 on the east coast) and barely a mention at the bottom ticker for score updates. Even bothered to watch Deion's Top 10 or whatever the f*** it's called and no mention of Gore's 100+ yards for 5 straight games, a rookie FB (converted DE/LB) catching his first TD, etc. Makes me
Words to live by!
Yesterday, he picks Philly as the only NFC team that could possibly beat GB, not the Niners.
Makes you wonder if he even knows that the Niners beat Philly.
Watching him makes me sick, just tuned in long enough to see if Niners were mentioned, but of course they weren't. Also, I highly doubt he knows Eagles lost to the Niners. Maybe he has some bad blood vs. SF when he signed with Cowgirls after winning a SB with us.

Really not worth getting worked up over. As long as this team keeps winning, I don't care who says what...

Thats OK.
We'll just keep it our little secret that the Niners may be positioned to beat the Packers more than any other team in the NFL.
WHAT!?! What was that?
Truth.
Why? Green Bay can't run and they can't stop the run. Niners do both. Green Bay is geared to pressure and stop the pass. Cool. We'll run over you.
Can't stop Rodgers? OK...kinda like you couldn't stop the Pats when they weere 18-0. How did the Giants do it? They rushed 4 and dropped 7. They were just about the only team that could get away with that because they could get to Brady with 4.
How about this front 4.....Aldon Smith, Justin Smith, Ray McDonald, Ahmed Brooks.
Ya see what I'm getting at here?
I'm not saying they WILL beat the Packers. I'm just saying that they may just be better positioned than any other team to do so. Its not because the Niners are better. Its because they matchup better.
Ya know what tho...we'll keep that our little secret. Let them disrespect. I KNOW Harbaugh prefers being the underdog.

There's an old adage in football "Defense wins championships, Offense puts asses in the seats."

Screw Deion, always hated that guy. Too friggin cocky. He isnt a 49er to me, 1yr here doesnt equate being a true niner. And he is the biggest Cowboy homer along with Irvin and Jimmy Johnson.

We are getting plenty of credit, but don't expect us to be considered an elite team, regardless of our record, because we haven't played like one.
Our record is awesome, and we should all be thrilled with it and what it means for the rest of the season and beyond.
However, just because we have a better record than the Saints, Falcons, Patriots, Chargers, Ravens, even the Giants, doesn't mean we are a better team. It doesn't mean we couldn't beat any of those teams, but it also doesn't mean that just because they lost a game or two more than us, that we are suddenly a better team.
All those teams have proven it over multiple seasons, all have either won SBs or been serious SB contenders for a few years or more, and all have true pro bowl to elite QBs.
We can't claim any of that. Enjoy what we have, where we are at and hope for it to continue onward and upward. But the fact that a great D and very good special teams have helped us win a number of games that could have gone either way, doesn't make us an elite team.
We gave a great record, will almost assuredly make the playoffs and win the division and have a chance to start a whole new chapter in Niner history.
But we are not the second best team in the NFL or the NFC despite our record. No one should expect people to act like we are and start heaping praise on us like we look like the 89 Niners reborn.

And this pretty much sums it up. People get caught up in the highlight reels and forget that on Sundays...for 60 minutes...it's all about MATCH UPS. It's not about "Alex vs Aaron" and who can win a shoot out. Alex and Aaron aren't going out there to have a throwing contest. When Aaron is on the field...he's going to have to account for Willis, Bowman, Aldon, Justin, McDonald, Soap, Brooks, etc. Our defense would EASILY be the best defense he's faced.

This is very well put. The homerism in us all can be blinding but dont be blinded. I'm enjoying the 7-1 start no doubt about it but championship caliber and able to flat out say were better then the proven elite is a lonnnnngggg stretch. Defense does not win chamnpionships. Great overall teams win championships. Our offense is not of championship caliber right now and an honest person should be able to see that. People are talking about how we match up well with Green Bay but how do you know this? We havent even played them this year ...were 7-1 yes but a juggernaut over night no ... We have not seen anything close to the level of offense that Green Bay displays other then Philly who hung 500 yards on us ... in the national media's mind they lost that game as opposed to San Francisco beating them and thats a perception were not going to shake barely getting by the Redskins and Browns .. we need to keep improving and by the end of the season lets see what happens ...

Keyshawn Johnson just said the Eagles are the 2nd best team in the NFC LMFAO.
