Well, we're not 16-0 at this point because we've only played 6 games.
One glaring deficiency with your excellent analysis: we already lost one.

That might stop a lesser team....but not the 2011 49ers.

I seriously had a dream last night that the Niners went undefeated the rest of the year. We ended up beating the Packers in San Fran for the NFC championship. After that people were still not believing in us, saying that this ride will end in the Superbowl because a team can't turn it around this quickly... They are too gimmicky... Alex is only a game manager. Harbaugh had the team working out in the Hotel rooms and staying completely focused during media week. In the end, we beat the Patriots, the defense picked off Brady like crazy, Harbaugh got carried off the field and YES I saw Alex lifting the Lombardi Trophy...

i originally thot we couldn't beat GB, Pats, and Ravens/ Pitts. Then Brady throws 4 INts, Ravens get 1 yd passing in first half, and virtually no O in second half, Roethlisberger has had a bad game....and the 9ers meanwhile seem to be improving each and every week with a new game plan for each new team. I guess GB would probably beat us 9 times out of 10, and the others, well maybe 60% of the time. Thing is, those guys are all playing like last yr, and 9ers are getting better every time they step on field. Certainly we could beat anybody. Right now i'd say we can't beat Pats or GB. At end of season....well, let's just see how it all plays out. Obviously we are not in a position to lose one of our starting players, altho we manage around the Braylon injury. Coaching wise, I like Harbaugh-= Bellicheat and better than McCArthy. I also like JH better than his brother and Mike tomlin. Yes, in his first yr as pro HC, i like JH better than anyone other than bellicheat....and honestly, our HC is responsible for all 5 of those Ws. Just swap JH for BM and what would our record be? Yup, 1-5, maybe.

Doc, we have exactly the kind of team that can beat GB and NE. They would have to be at the top of their game, but we have the players to do it. You beat those teams by having long time eating offensive drives and a tough man to man defense that can rush the passer with four or less. GB has oline problems this year, they just can't seem to stay healthy. I saw that their strength of schedule so far this year is one of the weakest in the league. Both of those teams are in the bottom 5 in defense even facing some of the weaker teams this year. If we get just a little more out of the offense on third down, we could be a nightmare for those one dimensional teams to deal with. You keep those QB driven teams from getting into a rhythm and they cease to be effective, like the Pats losing to the Giants in the Superbowl.

agreed, greenbay and NE dont have a defense that can handle Gore and Alex is growing more confident in each game. can u imagine our offense getting 250yrdspassing with another 175-200 consistently? i can, and thats pretty damn hard to defend against. meanwhile our special teams is playing lights out, giving us a short field most of the time and the defense pretty much erases the other teams running game and has proven that it can defend the pass as well in recent weeks. we will only get better. greenbay and new england both have huge holes in their defenses and neither have a better running game than us. i really like our odds this year. Harbaugh is the ultimate X factor
