As long as we win in the playoffs, I dont care what our record is....

It's very possible for us to go 15-1, but it's also very possible for us to go 11-5.

On one hand, we're finding ways to win, and that's a great intangible. Coupled with top-notch coaching, an improving offense, and a weak schedule, the sky is the limit for the team.

On the other hand, we DO have a weakness with the passing game. This is a passing league, and teams will begin to key in on the fact that we're a running team.

In my opinion, not specifically predicting any individual games, I think we're going to go 12-4, assuming no major injuries. I agree that the passing game hasn't been... dominant. But we're playing to our strengths (running offense, defense), and we're still improving our offense. I think 15-1 is a huge leap (certainly possible), but I think we're going to have a few eventual bumps in the road.

Let's play the law of average 15-1 vs. 11-5= 13-3.
12-4 Book it..

First round bye...

Host the Cowboys for the revenge..

Then go to Packerville to avenge the 2005 draft!!!

i do. i want to have a great regular season as well as a successful postseason. I sure as s**t wouldn't want to be a 7-9 playoff team, for example. Also: seeding matters.

if we were 3-3 or 2-4 I would probably agree with you, that I'd be just happy to make a run and make the playoffs. BUT with a great start, stumbling towards the playoffs would be disappointing--I'd still be happy to be in the playoff, but our start has made me greedy and I want to see sustained greatness.

No reason we can't be the top NFC seed, over the Packers.

The remaining 10 games

Seahawks

Rams: Twice

Cardinals twice:

That's five wins right there.

We also have :

Browns- it's not IF we will beat the browns but by how many points. So now were up to 6 more wins.

Redskins

Giants

Ravens

Steelers

The above four games are the biggest wildcards remaining on our schedule. If all four are lost we still likely finish at 11-5

Thinks are looking good for SF!

I don't think like that. We could easily lose to the teams above and beat all the teams below. One week at a time.

I do not think dallas makes the playoffs
I wouldn't be surprised if we lose a division game. Those are usually the tougher games to win no matter how crappy a team is.

I doubt we will win out! but a bye week with home field advantage would be a nice road to the Superbowl!

That segment was mostly dominated by hate from that douchebag Richie and Mangini. But yeah, hearing Skip say that is kinda fun. It's not like he's a homer or anything. That's a Dallas guy through and through. 15-1 is kinda crazy talk though. More like 14-2.
I've heard him talk about his respect for the 49ers organization; he considers Walsh to be the best HC of all-time, Montana the best QB, and Rice the best WR. He's not a homer but I get the feeling he has a soft-spot for the 49ers and Jim Harbaugh.

Still, awesome to hear him have so much respect for us. He gets carried away with some of his points (and sometimes just plays devil's advocate) but he knows his football.

@Seattle is going to be a rough game. My Seahawks buddies all tell me they still consider us their biggest rival, they'd love nothing more than to put a damper on our feel-good story.

Yeah he is a douchenozzle.

Mangini suggestion that Smith made the wrong read because it was zone coverage and not man is BS. Somehow Magini assumes Smith didn't know it wasn't zone. How? B/c he threw the ball into coverage? He threw an interception? Smith threw the game winning pass on a classic West-Coast slant play, albeit with a unique TE as a wideout formation. Walker had the position on the play. Okay, my hatred for Manidiot is getting the best of me.

Back to the thread....

We are going 13-3!
The only reason Skip says that is so he can keep pumping up the cowboys due to "their incredible win over the great 49ers."

Personally, I don't think we'll go undefeated the rest of the way, but the #2 seed should be our goal with our schedule.
