Yup that pissed me off. I was wishing that one of the announcers was smart enough to mention we defer all winning tosses but these guys clearly don't watch the Niners unless they have to.
did he really say that? lol wow

Yes. I don't think he used the word 'afraid' but it was like .. "yeah, they have deferred because they don't want to deal with this crowd noise to start the game." And he's smirking the whole time.

it was the look on his face more than anything that pissed me off. The words themselves, like you say, weren't so bad, but it was the smug, arrogant look on his rat face.
f**k, any team, with our defense, would defer, every game, which is exactly what we do.

Two things that pissed me off about the Lions coach:
During the pre-game interview - He states that Harbaugh, was worried about the crowd noise, and that was the reason
he chose to go on D first after the Niners won the coin toss. Alluding that coach was concerned about the 12th Man.
Post game - He over reacts about the Strong Hand Shake, and Back Slap ... then decides to tell a one-sided story (half truth),
during the post game presser ... forgetting to mention, that he is the one who initiates body contact with Harbaugh, first.
If he knew anything, and had done his homework, he would have realised that Harbaugh' MO this season (when winning the coin toss),
is to defer, and put the D on the field first.
Fellows, what we have here, is a New Rival to add to the Cardinal, Seahawks, and Cowboys. The Lions (although not in our division),
can replace the Sacrificial Lambs, because it hasn't been the same IMO, since they moved from L.A. anyway.
After the incident at Ford field, my first thought was - we're going to see these guys again in The Playoffs ... lets just hope the game
is at The Stick, and not in their House again.

Exactly. Which makes his comment even dumber. He should know we always defer.

Had the coaches not been seperated, then the following would have ensued...Jim Schwartz would have thrown a gruesome right hand that would have surely grounded Jim Harbaugh and made a normal man choke on his kidney. Suddenly though just as Schwartz begins to turn and walk away "captain comeback" Jim Harbaugh would have done a Rocky style sit up, pointed at Schwartz in true Hulk Hogan fashion. In anger Schwartz charges and throws one right after another and with each passing blow, Jim Harbaugh's head merely snaps to the side, but the eyes oh my god the eyes are as intense as ever.
Finally Harbaugh throws a right then a left followed by a headbutt, finishing the combo up with a standing dropkick. Harbaugh lifts Schwartz up and plants him with a rotating brainbuster suplex, then finally Jim springs to his feet looks down upon the broken and beaten Jim Schwartz and says "man, whats your deal." Lastly, the warrior coach of Avalon that is Jim Harbaugh turns and walks slowly disappearing into the mist.

the last three games:
Philly: Made them quit (Gore)
Buccs: Made them quit (Davis)
Lions: Made Schwartz cry (Harbaugh)
