Rogers, Goodwin, Braylon.

That would be a pretty good offseason. Adequately replaces Nate's horrible contract, brings in a #1 receiver and upgrades the line.

Not Philly good, but about as good as you can expect from our organization right now.

Agreed.

However, I think a trade for Asante Samuel would make this a very good free agency period by any team's standards. I know people don't want to give up the draft pick, but Asante and Rogers would make a very good CB combo and give us the opportunity to be more aggressive, thus helping Aldon Smith and the other OLBs THIS YEAR as opposed to a hit-or-miss draft pick that won't help us for another 2-3 years, if ever.

Philly supposedly wants a 2nd, but since nobody's taken the bait yet, maybe the offer will be lowered to a 3rd.

I kept quoting Harbaugh saying they did.

I never stopped believing it.

Now they need to win some games. Lulz.

I didn't give them the benefit of the doubt, nor do I believe I should have. However, I would be very happy if this is all we did. I was really worried about Baas and the corner. Both have been addressed. I didn't want Lawson to leave, but I'm ok with Brooks. A WR would be nice, but not manditory. The performance of Reggie smith has made me feel better about losing Goldson. Smith at FS and Mays at SS, would be ideal.
If they sign either Edwards or Floyd, it'll be a great day. Floyd is arguably the more dependable of the two, but BE can make big plays. Plus, he wants to show the Jets he's still got it. Rogers and Goodwin are both upgrades, as well. I hope this action quells most of the Baalke bashing...

I just have more patience than you.

It's probably the Valium.

Floyd is more dependable, Edwards is more dangerous as a weapon.

thats completely backwards....

edwards avg per catch last year was 17.1 and his career avg is 15.8.

floyd avg last yera was 19.4 per catch and his career avg is 17.3.

to me that says floyd is the bigger play guy.

floyds career recp total is 134 rec and 15 tds since 2005.

edwards career recp total is 326 rec and 39 tds since 2005.

edwards is more dependable by far.

I think Edwards has better RAC ability. I think Floyd is better as a down field jump ball target.

Maybe we overpaid for Clements, but theres no way you can say that Carlos Rogers is an upgrade for Clements, look at his stats he is a mediocre corner at best, he is an upgrade at our #2 DB slot not for our #1, but I guess thats just a position we will have to address in next years draft

What stats say how good a CB is?
