Because we have a terrible pass rush and our secondary stinks.

Basically, you see us getting burned in so many highlights because our D isn't very good and gets burned a lot.

I hear what you are saying but there are 31 other teams out there that get burned regularly as well. I just don't get why the Niners D is shown more on these highlights than any other team

Our D is strong against the run but sucks against the pass. We still have a reputation as a 5 Superbowl winning franchise so even though our D now sucks it makes the other O look slightly better because of our past reputation. That and a lot of other fans are still pissed about us kicking their asses for so long they like to kick us while were down.

That is why the team should have traded the farm for the rights to draft Patrick Peterson. Instead, we have Aldon Smith and Chris Culliver.

Poor coverage AND awful open field tackling = wrong side of the highlight reel
