Rogers knew exactly what we were going to run, and changed the play it seems. Not only that but notice the lack of pass rush. Now I know it's only one play, but we've seen this predictability before and zone coverage before.

The defensive philosophies under Nolan and Sing sucked so it's not much of a surprise. On the plus side, I saw Harbaugh's mug on TV quite a few times yesterday---which I think will be happening quite often in the future. He's definitely one of the more quotable coaches in the league.

This has been going on for sometime now,don't know why this is really a surprise to anyone! Our secondary is burnt toast! Especially the last 2 yrs. And for some reason the front office refuses to fix it. and it doesn't sound like they will

The problem is that the team does not know how to draft, thus revisting positions over and over again in the draft to get it right.

As I have been stating for three months now, the Niners had their opportunity to solve this problem by aggressively moving forward in the draft to pick up Patrick Peterson. This would have been a gigantic step forward in solving the problems in our secondary. If the Niners had a wink-wink in advance with one of the big free agent corners, then I will take this back. I just do not think it is true.
