Niners defense getting burned in so many sports highlights.

Our D was overrated, We have a very good Run D. Get burned by the screen and most mid to long pass plays, also could not seal the deal at the end of games...

Well at least besides the offense we see that the D wasnt that much better. I just watched the other day in top 10 highlights of the year, at least 4 to 5 of them were against our defense. And that one that GB got on us where i forget who he was, but he literally burned our entire D in YAC. At least breaking away from 4 defenders. (My bad for retyping, im on vacation in sweden and didnt see the highlight earlier. At least we can agree we just got burned)

We need a shut down corner and legitimate passrusher. Its as simple as that.

J smith is a beast, but we need one more, and hopefully Aldon is the answer, and a Rivas type CB.

I work at NFLN, and I will tell you that any time you see the 49ers defense getting blasted in a promo or b-roll tape, it is completely by random chance. There is no one standing over the editors telling them to favor certain teams, nor are there any internal memos proclaiming "EAST COAST BIAS!!!"

I think the reason it happens more often is because the 49ers often make bad/mediocre teams look good... like the Chiefs, Seahawks (game 1), & Panthers last season.

It comes down to a producer asking for a specific kind of footage... like "good Chiefs passing offense." And since we made Cassel look good last year, you will see those highlights a lot... especially since that game was early in the year and the editors will more than likely go to those games first to pull footage than later in the season.

Not really. Except for two seasons ago, our D has been buried in the lower echelons of the league. We were routinely letting teams put up 40 plus points. That's why you see us on the wrong end in so many lowlights.

The moment Alex Smith is cut loose from the 49ers for good, this will come to an end. He brings the whole team down.

They are a tad bit overrated here on the WZ. If you watched all year long they got burned a lot especially on pass defense. And especially at key moments at the end of the game. Our defense is not as great as some would lead you to believe. We have good run defense only. Our CB, CB, FS, SS, OLB, OLB are pretty bad.

Sometimes I feel like our fans actually WANT Al Davis to be the 49ers owner.

Spending huge money every year on cornerbacks and WR's is what Al Davis craves. What has it given the Raiders? Nothing, nothing and more nothing.

Nnamdi Asomugha is so important to his team, that the Raiders have won how many playoff games since he's been there?

If Nnamdi Asomugha and Randy Moss are incapable of helping the Raiders win, what makes people think spending money on these positions will magically turn our team around?

We drafted pass rush, and a quarterback. Our two biggest problems. We got a real head coach. This will help our defense and cornerbacks. Thank God our coaches know what they are doing.

im really sick of the kevin kolb highlights against us. but then again thats because our defense was a joke. u dont see the steelers in any bad highlights like those...

Are you serious? You would've traded away the whole farm for Patrick Peterson? I imagine that'd be some sort of Julio Jones trade or more. Bold move, but I can't get on board with that.
