HELL YEAH!!! RETURN OF THE PLAYBANDS!!!

the qb AND the offensive line are gonna wear them. badass
Is it just me or does this training camp seem to be very loose in comparison to ones in the past? And I mean that in a good way.

There's no talk of scuffles between players or players getting into it with coaches.
Zero. I find this pretty intruiging, granted that it's only been. what, a couple weeks since camp opened?

Totally opposite vibe compared to what Singletary was running. Naturally, it was going to be much different from that his archaic camp but from the articles I'm reading, it sounds like a 180-degree change in direction.

Harbaugh is acting the part so far, should be interesting to see how this turns out.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- A few thoughts after watching the San Francisco 49ers practice in pads for most of their three-hour afternoon session Monday:

* This was the crispest, most efficient practice I've seen while visiting NFC West camps over the past week. Coach Jim Harbaugh was everywhere, including deep inside the offensive huddle. The 49ers practiced with purpose. Harbaugh called this the best 49ers practice since camp opened. There was frequent give-and-take between offense and defense. Newly signed receiver Braylon Edwards dominated at times in the red zone. Fans in attendance cheered his every move, no matter how ordinary. Edwards' overhead touchdown grab against cornerback Tramaine Brock was a highlight.

That gives be a Harb-on

I know what you mean. So far, everything he has done, from the way he runs practice, to how he answers questions, to how and what he says are the focus of his training camps, all seem to be exactly what you would want out of a successful coach.

I'm not expecting immediate miracles, but I sure am starting to believe that he can translate his college coaching success into a winning team at the pro level.
read something about culliver (sp) & williams

Notable: Perhaps the 49ers are looking to expand the role of LB Patrick Willis. For the first time, he took part in one-on-one pass-rush drills that usually only feature the outside linebackers and defensive linemen. Willis had a difficult time getting around either undrafted rookie Kenny Wiggins or third-year player Alex Boone.

Interesting.
Nice. A team's most talented athletes/playmakers should always be put in positions to make the greatest impact. I'm surprised to hear that he had never done this before.

did willis put on weight?
On Saturday Boone and Aldon Smith got into it when Boone put his hands too high. Didn't sound like much though.
it happens to every team all the time. not a big deal
I think it is because Harbaugh runs more of a learning environment. He teaches as he is coaching. Where as Singletary made an aggressive camp where he wanted people hitting all the time. That probably made for more of an aggressive environment.

Yeah probably has to do with how short TC is, no time to f**k around or get on each other's nerves.

There's still time for all of that to happen of course.
But not much, pretty soon they'll be too busy getting in fights with other teams during preseason lol.

I think Gore and Aldon got into it too, briefly.
