People like to b***h for the sake of b***hing. He is more probable to fumble based on his reception/fumble ratio, but he is still one hell of a play maker and miss match. I cant wait to see what he does at his lower weight!

You guys act like 3 fumbles indicates a fumbling problem. Fumbles cannot be predicted and can happen to anyone, especially a young player. For all we know he could go 150 receptions before he fumbles again.

I like Delanie Walker. He creates tons of mismatches. I'm just unreasonably scared he will fumble every single time. I don't know why. I know the chances are slim, but I cringe every time.

Delanie does need to clean up his ball security a little bit. He currently fumbles once every 17 touches which is pretty high when you think about it. In comparison, VD fumbles once every 59 touches.

kind of a catch-22. If he tries for extra yards when he looks contained, he increases the chance of fumbling. If he goes down quick to ensure ball security, he looks like Shaun Alexander. Most fumbles in the NFL are freak hits (esp those caused by "the hawk" in 2009- head down, no look, but the helmet finds the ball directly). I think everyone who runs with the ball should do rb ball security drills.

I love Delanie (I met him at training camp a few years back and he was really nice and respectful) but his value is inflated on the webzone. He's a good weapon and can create a mismatch, but I don't think we'll be getting much more out of him than we already have. He had a lot of opportunities this past year (he was on the field for like 50% of the snaps) and was merely average. He makes some really cool plays and makes people miss, but for whatever reason he hasn't really taken off despite the aforementioned opportunities. Maybe losing weight will help him out, but I don't think Harbaugh's offense will have the same kind of midas touch for Delanie as it will for Crabs, Alex, Gore, VD, etc...hopefully I'm wrong.

Delanie is a beast. I'm looking forward to seeing him take advantage of cb's in the slot next year.
