The opinion of a scout who isn't and never was in our organization is worthless.
Here's one other Razzano opinion: He believes 49ers coach Mike Singletary is the right man for the job. He lauds Singletary's abilities as a leader, and views him as an outstanding head coach.

Actually he was here under his Father from 1988-1992.... Although he was riding Daddys coat tails.

It got me thinking about the 49ers organization, not the coaches, but the owners above Jed. Are they willing to do what it takes to win, or does it seem like they're like the Bidwills who could care less about the product, as long as they make money? Personally, I've never really thought about it from that respect so I have a tough time making up my mind on that - what do you guys think?

I think it's 100% bulls**t.

Call John York incompetent if you want. Call Jed York a clown. I still think they want to win.

This tells me more about Razzano than anyone else. In short, he is a giant...

John and Denise York may not care about winning, but I believe Jed does.

He grew up in the golden years, sitting on Eddie D's lap at games. He appears to carry that spirit Eddie D brought to the clubhouse; that commitment to winning.

Jed is young and certainly not as sophisticated as Eddie D was in the glory days, but he does have his uncle's ear and more - Eddie D reportedly consults with Jed on a regular basis.

I believe Jed has that love of the game and a commitment to bring the Lombardy Trophy back to San Francisco, where it rightfully belongs!

Bro! Without hate, there is no Love. This is the way of life. we must all pull together to overcome this view of all, or nothing.

Personally I am developing rancid animosity towards the players, and especially the so-called leaders of their, what, now it's called fellowship? Have you heard the one where A. Peterson says they are nothing more than slaves($10mill a year, $25k a run play a year)? Boooowhaaaa. I'm just about at, bring on the scabs, who needs thes a-hoos ball, college is pretty fun to watch too. It looks like they care more for every minute of the game too.

They need to face facts, without the owners there is NO NFL, let the players come up with the money to build stadiums, training facilites, and on, and on. They have nothing unless we the fans and the owners give it to them.

The league could easily have started with less skilled players, but we all would have still been rabid because in the end it's about the San Fransisco 49ers. Not about some fat f**k NT who wants 10 mil more so he can take care of his caring family..pass the pipe.

Personall, in the 87 strike with replacement players at the Stick, I enjoyed myself greatly. Everything was cheaper and the players, regardless of who they were, were still hitting the snot out of each other and making fun plays. Plus I could put my feet up on the seat in front without complaints form some wanker real estate agent.. ooopss

Rant, rant, rant..

3 more weeks and I'm almost over football.

These owners and players better be very careful who the are fu**ing with. It's like the chick you really, really liked/loved who couldn't decide or played around when you didn't, coz you were enthralled with her possibility; fool me once, you will never fool me again. Plus I hate you.. haaaaaaaaaaa

Well, just thought I would throw it in..
I believe Jed has passion for the 49ers and wants to win. As far as Denise and the good Dr., they have not shown anything that suggests they want to win. They hired cheap with Nolan giving him total control with no background whatsoever. The hiring of Harbaugh spoke volumes about the direction the team is taking. It looks like the dark ages are over.

Thank you, and when he see's Von Miller, he see's a little Vernon Gholston.

Always consider the source!
hope not
Let's dismiss Razzano for whatever reason. But let's still address the question whether the Yorks are committed to winning.

For the last few years, we spent way under the salary cap. That is money sitting on the sidelines that could have been spent on FA talent, but wasn't. To me, that bespeaks an unwillingness to commit to winning, plain and simple.

You have to have money available to resign players. You cant just cap out every year and expect to be able to lock down your own players or bring in quality FAs.
In the 2010 season, due to the NFL team owners deciding to opt out of their collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the players' union, there was no operable salary cap.

The NFL's cap was a hard cap that the teams had to stay under at all times; penalties for violating or circumventing the cap include fines of up to $5 million, cancellation of contracts and/or loss of draft picks. There was also a hard floor, which is the minimum payroll the teams must pay their players, but that also did not apply for the 2010 season.

The cap was introduced for the 1994 season and was initially $34.6 million. Both the cap and the floor were adjusted annually based on the league's revenues, and they increased each year. In 2009, the final capped year under the current CBA, the cap was $128 million per team, while the floor was 87.6% of the cap. Using the formula provided in the league's collective bargaining agreement, the floor in 2009 was $112.1 million. The salary floor percentage would have increased 1.2% per year until it reached 90% of the cap in 2011.

Since 1994 the cap has nearly quadrupled (in only 17 years). And future contracts grow accordingly. You have to have money set aside to be able to re-sign these players. Again you cant just cap out every year. We tried that before and we had a salary cap nightmare. I am more then happy with the way the Niners have spent their money in recent years.

In other words if the niners would have capped out or even went above the uncapped year last year it wouldnt have been wise. Lets say the Niners spent 130 mill last year without a CBA deal done. Then the new CBA deal gets done that would lower the salary cap to lets say 110 mill(the cap number will go down with a new cba). That would mean the Niners would have to cut 20 mill in players salaries and have no money to re-sign players or bring in FA`s.

Spending money does not translate to winning championships. See Dan Snyder and the redskins for proof.

Oh yeah, and A.Smith is one of the big reasons he was fired according to him.
