Alex Smith (7M)
Aubrayo Franklin (7M)
Brian Westbrook (2.5M)
Barry Sims (3M)
Takeo Spikes (3M)

In addition, if we release the following players, we'll save about $11M:

Nate Clements (7M)
David Carr (2.5M)
Moran Norris (1.5M)

And before all of that, we would have plenty of room to make a few transactions. At the very least, we'd have about 36M in room for free agency - 2-3 high priced FAs, 2-3 mid, 4-5 low.

we better resign spikes, he played great this year and clearly bowman isn't ready

Depends on the scheme we run in 2011. Manusky isn't under contract past this season.

IMO I'm not sure if the scheme will change because we've got the LB situation figured out with Willis,Brooks, Lawson(sign), and resigning Spikes. Besides is there a better free agent out there that would be willing to sign a one or two year deal.

I don't mind Irvin or Sanders but Carter is a horrible analyst. he just seems like a loudmouth that nobody likes.

M Irvin is lower than Dogcrap on the chain of anything useful...my wife met the jerk at the Hospital she works at in Dallas...the guy is Scum...and funny thing is I met a friend errr teammate of his once and we were chatting some football and he said M Irvin is Well not exactly a personable guy...I wont say what he really said.

Yeah, he's got that ghetto accent, too.

If those numbers are true, considering that we had plenty of cap space this year, we will be a great shape. Of those contracts that are expiring, I'd like to see Franklin, Spikes, and Westbrook return. Franklin can be resigned for far less, on a nice 3-year deal, with Wesbrook and Spikes being given two year deals.

I'd like to see Clements and Haralson's contract restructuredand it (Clements's) most likely will be. Carr is gone and Norris should be as well. We will be in faily good shape, again. The organization doesn't look good, but many pieces are in place. After Dallas and Minnesota, I'd say this is by far the best job that will be available (Cincinatti, Carolina, Houston, New York, and Tennessee may open up).

Definitely need an exceptional CB on the squad. Nate is damn near washed up except in run support. Goldson ain't the s**t and FS needs some fixing...but without the upgrade at CB the FS is juts going to be running his ass off all over the place without much ball hawking to show for it. Upgrade the CB spot, and you free up the FS to do what he is supposed to do...go get the f**king ball.
Good stuff...and shows CC doesn't know what the heck he's talking about. All he does is embarrass himself. A good, shrewd GM can shake this team up and be successful with the help of a topflight head coach. CC has pretty biased opinions, which is likely one reason he's no longer on Inside the NFL. Warren Sapp's 10 times the analyst CC ever thought of being.

I think Franklin is gonna walk if we don't pay him some big bucks. He ain't gonna stay if we don't, IMO. We may just let him do that, or franchise him again.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't have said that.

Carter is just sticking up for another fellow former player. I expect to see many articles and reports from people who are absolutely clueless about the of disfunction that Singletary, and Nolan for that matter, have inflicted on the 49ers for the last 6 years. Remember when Nolan got fired and Chris Berman had a cow on set? They don't see it and follow it day to day like we do.

We are WebZoners and we are smarter than you!!!
Yeah Chris Carter has taken too many hits and is alittle bit dilusional!!
