I don't mind Irvin or Sanders but Carter is a horrible analyst. he just seems like a loudmouth that nobody likes.

CC should stick to evaluating players...he really doesn't know the Niner's financial situation, which BTW, is pretty healthy. There'll be a number of salaries chopped as they release players and/or let them go into UFA. Maarethe (sp) has done a good job managing the cap...but that has nothing to do with hiring a top GM and head coach...Jed's already said, money is no object, so I'm taking him at his word.

C'MON MAAAANN!!!!
Look, the yorks have had plenty of unspent cap money sitting on the sidelines for the last two years. They have not used it on decent, not-high-priced FAs which could have filled some needed holes. Most coaches would have wanted that money spent on talent. So I assume it was because the Yorks didn't want to spend it.

Before you can hire a top end GM or HC, you have to have a reputation that you will give them the tools they need. I feat that the York's reputation is probably so bad that we have no chance at anyone good.
He also said that SF is among the "bottom 8" teams in terms of attractiveness to potential coaches. Say what you want about him, but he is dead on with this--dysfunction defines the team at the top and coaches we have to compete with other teams for are going to be wary of the circus that is the 49ers.
