Seattle won't win this weekend, but the Rams might beat KC with Cassel out.

ya and if the Rams win this weekend then they will be playing us with the chance to clinch at home with champagne on ice

Doesn't STL have to lose 2 games just for us to tie them? So if they beat KC they are pretty much guaranteed the division right?

STL is up by 1 game on us. They only need to lose 2 if we lose to San Diego. If we beat San Diego, it doesn't matter if they win against KC, we just need to beat them when we play them the following week.

Some highlights:
If we lose, and Seattle and St Louis win this week, we are eliminated (but can Seattle really beat Atlanta?).

If we win, and they lose, we will be favored to win the division (we just have to beat San Diego...)

If we lose, and St Louis beats KC (which is a quite possible scenario), then Seattle will need to lose 2 of its 3 final games, BUT beat St Louis in Week 17. It could happen, but odds are really against us.

So we have to win this week or else prey KC beat St Louis and Seattle beats St. Louis in 2 weeks?

Fixed:
or else pray KC beat St Louis OR Seattle beats St. Louis in 2 weeks?

That isn't true. First off, if Seattle wins their 3 remaining games, they will go to the playoffs, regardless of what the 49ers do. I am pretty confident, though, that this won't happen. Also, if we lose to Arizona, and St Louis beats Seattle and KC, then St Louis will go to the playoffs, not us.

Yes, we really do need to beat SD. If Rams lose to KC, though, then us losing to SD may not matter.

How about we just worry about San Diego on Thursday?

One game at a time, thats the mentality all of the players should have, only one of the few qualities I like about Sing, tries to get the team motivated...

Btw is anyone aware of our record with short weeks? Or simply an accurate assumption of how well/terrible we do w/out a full week of practice?

I mean, short week = Sing can't plan out the offense

Oh wait...
IF we beat san diego...we are still talking about one of the best quarterbacks in the league who will pick our secondary apart...and their defense is not that bad either.
who are the potential wild cards? too lazy to look. new orleans? giants? eagles?
How about we win out? I'm sure that should cure all of your worrying...

Instead of lose here, win here, maybe tie there.

We would end up as the 4 seed so we should play against the 5th seed, so who ever has the best record and not winning their Div is who we get. Probably the Saints or Falcons (if Falcons slip)

Edit: Yahoo has an awesome playoff generator

Cassel is at practice today
I really think the rams will lose their final 3 games against kc sf and they have to go on the road to play Seattle which wont be easy especially for a young team.
