Nedney is getting old and is by no means "automatic" anymore, either.
There really isn't any kicker you can call automatic. It's the distance from which they kick that determines if they are automatic.

I feel like we didn't sign a veteran kicker because it may cause controversy if he does well. Because I can't come up with a reason why Andrus was signed in the first place.

Yea especially when I see the steelers go out and get a vet kicker at the exact same time. I guess we just wanted a stop gap. Or sing is stupid...hmm I wonder which one...
