Where is the thought we jumped the gun" choice, there were lots of good coaches available and we never looked at them! I was pissed. Not that I hated Singletary, I just thought we did not look hard enough.
everyone was excited so those who say no are LIARS!! from going to Erickson then Nolan to Singletary was like a breath of fresh air. with his motivation, his antics, his post game interviews, everyone fell in love with his fire and thought thats just we needed to get over the hump..

I was wrong as well, Really, really wrong.
I'm not going to lie, I was kinda happy
Then I found out a couple days later that Shannahan was fired, and then I was disappointed

Honestly I thought he would be an awesome HC because of the discipline and fundamentals that he was going to implement on our team. I was so wrong, but you have to admit he can make you believe.
I thought he was a great motivator and the team played great under him during his interim time. I thought he'd AT LEAST bring in a more competitive team and give a winning mentality to these players.

I wasn't "THRILLED" but I was confident with the choice.

Boy was I stupid.

I was not happy when we fired Nolan mid-season (wanted to wait till the end of the season) and less happy when we hired Sing as interim.

nolan never should have been allowed to coach into that season, did not mind at all seeing him go. statements need to be made even if/when the season is no longer salvageable. I don't believe you can shy away from not making the move in that situation with the whole 'coordinators taking over seldom do any better' thought process because in that situation then and the situation we are in today, the season is over anyways and it's more important to make the statement to a fan base losing faith that the staus quo will not be tolerated.

as far as sing, i hated the move then, obviously hate it now. ra-ra cheerleader coaches don't work longterm and i knew everything i needed to know about his prospects as he butchered the oc situation with firing martz and then getting rejected by other candidates after that. I mean, who turns down jobs in this league? it was never the direction i would have gone but his minor success really tied the hands of the owners i felt and I didn't see a out for the owners in that situation. For a young York running the team, getting his hands wet with the team and learning the ropes, he had to hire him, had to give him a shot. It would have been a tuff, tuff move to pull to come in relatively new to the game and not give him the shot. I could excuse York's mistake then but that said, he hasn't matured into much of a owner since those days either which is ultimately the biggest dissapointment of all.

that said, did not see it going this sideways to this extent. at this rate, he is going down as worst niner coach ever. He has failed in every manner I thought he would fail in coming in as a coach but I have been shocked that for a guy that was supposed to at the least bring a disciplined approach and mentality to the team, just how undisciplined this team is. his one saving grace coming in and become one of his biggest failures.
Was initially on the fence, then drank the kool-aid.

I was thrilled

A lot of us were.

I don't know what this "keep it real" stuff is about. Just because we got fooled in the beginning doesn't mean we didn't realize what we really have now.
