Keep it real... Who was happy when we hired Sing full time?

I can honestly say I wasn't. I wanted to go after Holmgren or Shanahan, but I understood why so many fans wanted Sing and why he was hired.
Almost everyone was drinking the Kool-Aid, including myself.
I knew he was an idiot and it was a bad move.

Yeah, but that's your take on everything, so it doesn't count.

I was right. People should have listened to me.

I thought he was at least a straight shooter, which was nice after all of Nolan's BS. He's not even that.

And what happened to whipping our players into shape with his grueling camps? This past year was just sad.
I was pro singletary. He controled Martz, got VD's head straight.
What I did not like was last year's unvilligness to see that we have more chances for success in a spread type offence.

I was wrong as well, Really, really wrong.
I did not like it. I didn't want an unproven coach from Nowins staff. I also wanted an offensive coach hopefully a west coast type scheme. While I thought Singletary would be better than Nowin I still wanted an offensive coach with a proven record.
at the time i was just happy that anyone other than nolan was there

but then i started to see the stupid mistakes singletary was making like poor time management and stupid challenges.

last season the main theme that singletary preached was accountability, now this year, he hasnt really lived up to that himself. for 9 games straight he's blamed everyone but himself, at that point i lost any respect for the man
I'm happy with almost nothing that we do. I took the hope for the best, expect the worst approach that I've learned to always take with this team.
bunch of you are lying.

everyone and their grandmother thought he was a great hire. i said back then that it was a horrible hire. he couldn't even get a job as a coordinator due to his lack of x's and o's knowledge. he was clearly all talk and no content back then, but everyone got suckered in because he did what mike nolan was already great at, winning meaningless games late in a lost season.

Don't feel bad guys. It's a typical fan reaction. When your team sucks, you have to blame somebody. Nolan was obviously the guy to blame. Once the blame starts, it turns to hate. Once the hate starts, reason goes out the window. Then you aren't thinking straight and you're running on emotion.

At that point anything with a tiny glimmer of hope seems like an oasis. You'll head toward that oasis without hesitation. In this case, it was just a mirage.

I had some other heavy stuff going on in my life at the time, so I wasn't really emotionally invested. I wasn't happy about the move.

I hated the Erickson hire so much that I almost stopped being a fan of the team. I liked the Nolan hire. I think Nolan did some good things for the franchise, but he was a crap Head Coach. I was wrong on that one. Just thought I'd show that I do the same thing, too.

I will say I didn't hate Singletary until after the Bucs game. I do my best to avoid hatred of anyone. Now I just want his ass fired and I don't even see an oasis.
The only person I remember griping about it was SanDiego and he gripes about everything.

In his short time at the helm Singletary seemed to be getting the most out of the players and the whole organization seemed to be reinvigorated by his 'we won't tolerate diva's' and 'punch-em-in-the-mouth' attitude. I think he earned it.
