What is the General Concensus? Do we...

You can't salvage this. The season was wasted. A draft pick would be best since we are getting nothing else out of this.

i should've worded the question Do we A) hope the team finishes strong? or B) Root for a complete meltdown, in hopes of total overhaul of the coaching staff and player personnel department?

i understand good draft position wouldnt guarantee immediate impact and on-field production, but with the seemingly imminent upcoming coaching change, i feel having ideal draft position would be a key factor into luring a high profile GM/HC....we all know everything ultimately rides on the york's decision making, and if we finish strong this season, the york's might be misled into thinking they've done a standup job and proclaim we are just one more no-name head coach away from the playoffs =ing more torture....where as finishing poorly would nearly ensure change...certain times change is unecessary, but during uncertain times, change is imperative...i really dont want their to be a glimmer of hope in the york's minds that this team is "that" close...if there is any glimmer of hope in their minds, i'll be extremely skeptical heading into the offseason
i'm rooting for a strong finish. i dont think anything saves Sing's job right now. so I still root for a strong finish, i want to see the players play well and show what they can do for the next HC/GM we get.

I dunno why everyone is blaming the Yorks. The fanbase fell in love with Sing hardcore after meaningless wins in '08. All signs were pointing to the Yorks trying to find an offensive HC, but everyone fell in love with this doofus.

The unintelligent fanbase has no one to blame but themselves.

unintelligent fanbase? did we pick the f**kin coaches dude? what were "all the signs" u speak of? did they take a fan poll for who we wanted out of their s**tty candidates? get real

Most all of us was on 2010 Sing bandwagon, even you sir.

I've started following the mock drafts. It's insulting if this team makes the playoffs. The only purpose it will serve is a lower draft pick. However, it's time for the Nolan-Singletary late season push.

Another "shall we tank it?" thread.

No. Same reasons as the previous threads.

Someone forgot to tell the Rams.

I do not want to tank it unless we're getting Luck.

We wont get him, ( i think he is a junior) hed probably stay in college if he found out we were going to have the number 1 pick.

It depends on who gets hired as the next coach. QBs would love to join teams coached by guys like Holmgren, or Gruden. Luck would likely follow Harbaugh.
you can't sail sinking ship. The season was lost a log time ago.
Singletary should be done, whatever happens. We may thus as well hope for a few wins. I predict that if we finish 7-9 and win all our division games, we will win the NFC West. Anything can happen in the playoffs, then, and we would start at home.

But, as I said, Sing has to go whatever happens in the playoffs. Such bad coaching is just not acceptable.

I'm so disgusted with the coaching staff and management, that i hope the worst of 2010 is yet to come...i'm hoping for a complete and total meltdown between players and coaches before the season ends...i'm hoping for something unheard of, whether it be by the fans in the bay area or by the players on the team...i'm praying for the season to play out in the worst possible way so that the epic and unseen-before failure and implosion is so intense, ownership has no choice but to either sell the team due to the demonstrative hatred the people of NorCal and 9er fans everywhere have for the York family, Denise included, or to bring in a proven GM/HC, hand over the reins and allow them to demonstate to you, new York's, how a winning football team is built. I know much of this sounds like blasphemy or sacrilege to many die hards(i'm one as well) but a meltdown of epic proportions may be the only way the York's concede that they have no business running a professional sports franchise

general consesus.WE SUCK!!!!!!. For those thinking we should or have a chance to win the division are clueless. Period
