If this is true, then what type of team does that make the Whiners when we win???

You said it, I didn't...
Dude, people are getting annoyed of you know. Promise me one thing, if we win, please come back here Sunday evening.

Sorry for the delay. I had to go get something cold to drink... Anyway, in all seriousness, YOU HAVE MY WORD that I'll be back after Sunday's game regardless of the outcome (but we all know what THAT'S going to be don't we???).

If somehow the moon fell out of the sky, I'll come back with my head held high and admit that you pulled one out on us...

But on the other hand...

(No need to spell it out, you know what's coming...)

lol moon fell out of the sky
that guy sounds like the Buccaneers-fan version of MadDog.

One of my worst nightmares--that the 'zone would have two MadDogs--might be coming true...

Okay. Get prepared to regret your dumbass comments. Remember, its gonna be really wet Sunday, giving us the edge since.....We have Gore. You have a s**t Run D. You have the almighty Blount, but unfortunately for you guys, we have a great Run D.

From last week:

Round robin, Part 2. The Rams are statistically superior to the other N.F.C. West teams. They are the only team with a positive takeaway-giveaway figure (plus 3), the only one with more passing touchdowns than interceptions (11 to 8), and the only one whose quarterback choice inspires neither chuckles nor resignation. They are 0-3 on the road, however, and they are stuck in second place because of a loss to the Cardinals, so every divisional win helps.

During the Niners’ bye week, the NFL Network completed its “Top 100 Players of All Time” series, so Bay Area fans got to watch Joe Montana (ranked fifth) and Jerry Rice (first) instead of Troy Smith and Delanie Walker. For those fans, this week will feel as if waking up from a beach-at-sunset dream to discover they fell asleep in the middle of a calculus exam. PICK: Rams

And then three weeks ago:

Quote:
The British gave us awkward comedy, so it’s only fair that we send them awkward football. Ricky Gervais for Josh McDaniels: an equitable tit-for-tat. We could wow the English with the Saints and Steelers or export superstars like Tom Brady and gimpy Brett Favre, but no one can top the Broncos and 49ers when it comes to squirmy laughs.

The usually defiant McDaniels suddenly became contrite this week, apologizing to “the organization, the fans, everybody else” for the Broncos’ 59-14 loss to the Raiders. After 23 games, McDaniels finally realized that alienating his best players and treating the draft like an impulse shopping splurge might have a detrimental effect on the team’s success. In a year or two, he may rediscover the hand-off.

With 49ers quarterback Alex Smith injured, Mike Singletary will bypass backup David Carr and turn to the third-stringer Troy Smith on Sunday. That eliminates the messy middle step where Carr gets sacked six times, then benched. Troy Smith got the endorsement of Mike Johnson, the offensive assistant who replaced Jimmy Raye, who was fired because he couldn’t communicate with Alex Smith. It’s good to know that the 49ers’ chain of command is tidy.

None of this matters much to most Brits, who can name only one player on either roster: Tim Tebow. Hilarious, in a quirky way. Pick: Broncos.

I hope he keeps picking against us. Maybe we will keep winning.

Mark Tanier writes on the 49ers vs. Bucs game

Just read this....

"Josh Freeman, Mike Williams and LeGarrette Blount form an exciting nucleus of playmakers, the kind who could lead a team to the Super Bowl in three years. While the Buccaneers are building around legitimate prospects, the 49ers are toying with Troy Smith, the kind of pesky scrambler who always looks great to awful teams. The 49ers made the same mistake with Shaun Hill two years ago, talking themselves into thinking a heady backup on a hot streak was a legitimate starter. Quarterbacks like these only look good in comparison to Alex Smith. Short actors sometimes keep shorter friends around them so they look taller in photographs. Bad quarterbacks should always stay within sighting distance of Alex Smith. Pick: Buccaneers."

Wow, what a dick.

we have had years of bad qb's. we know what they look like. i can take an ok one for the rest of the year on hopes he could blossom. and if they can't keep him in the pocket then they will be eating their words.

What he said.

Arrogance doesn't make your opinion correct. You call people here homers and you're nothing but one yourself. If you want people to take you seriously, try being objective.

Isn't that enough???

Ok, I'll digress.

IMHO, here's why Freeman's ceiling is higher than Bradford's. I'll touch on these points briefly, then we'll go back to doing what you and I love most ( which is discussing some more Buc Ball), Okay? Here goes:

Being the Super-Homer-QB-Analyst that I am, this is my personal list of criteria which determines a QB's ceiling (priority first):

1) Will to win
2) Physical Skills
A. Arm Strength
B. Size / Strength
C. Evasiveness
3) Desire to Improve
4) Work ethic to improve
5) Mental Capacity to grasp techniques and schemes
6) Awareness
7) Focus
8) Calmness under pressure
9) Sound decisions
10) Leadership/Inspiration

This list is by no means complete, just a sample. But per my criteria, TROY SMITH has a higher ceiling than Bradford. Why? Because physical skills can't be taught. Sam, while not being as immobile as Drew Bledsoe, is somewhat lacking in evasiveness. He ability to extend plays is somewhat lacking...

Please refer back to the Eagles vs. the Redskins. The era of the evasive QB threat has re-emerged.

So I actually would argue that TROY has the physicals to match Bradford (minus the height). Troy is closer to a Vick type QB in elusiveness. But what Bradford has displayed thus far can be learned...

Freeman's elusiveness is slightly different than Smith's or Vick's quickness. His evasiveness stems from the illusion of his size. He's faster than a QB his size should be, yet strong enough to shake many tackles. Freeman is equivalent to an extremely athletic Rothlisberger (at least physically). But elusive none the less.

Also, Freeman consistently displays numbers 3 - 10 and is getting better every day...

What da hell is this armchair Freudian the QB crap?

You might wanna visit your local Tampon Bay woman's clinic, maybe they could fix your heavy mental menstrual period.

Oh lordy, the irony. All these bucs fans calling everybody "Homers".

They've had half a good season and all of the sudden they're a power house that's unbeatable.

Let's take a closer look at whom they beat:

Carolina, Cardinals, Rams, Bengals, Carolina and the Browns.

Not exactly stellar teams are they?

Nope, but they're on our schedule. We will sweep the NFC West...

and you're up next...

So tell me what it was like to get blown out by the Steelers and the Saints?
If you're such an elite team you should have given those guys the run for their money. I guess that's the problem with WANNABEES!

The combined records of the teams you beat 13-32 ... Yeah, really something to write your mom about!
