If he has just a little more extra jet, he would be a sure HOFer. Like most of us, I like Gore cause he runs tough.
If he stayed toward the sideline I think he would have scored. The receiver(think Crabs) would have sealed that safety off so I think it was just bad decision by Gore by changing directions rather than sprinting to pylon

Dixon. They probably don't trust him to pass protect, but he's a player. Mix him in with Gore. I see Westbrook as an insurance policy if someone gets injured. Sounds like he's slow to pick up the playbook and looks like he's lost a step.

Westbrook and Dixon need more touches, I dont know whats so tough about drawing up some plays that team up Westbrook or Dixon in the backfield with Gore????
If the coaching staff is worried about hurting Franks feelings by using the other backs, then our offense will NEVER make any progress, our offense needs to be more effective by using what we have, if we hurt someones feelings then SO WHAT, I would rather win games then use the same player over and over because "he might get mad" ...C'MON MAN

I think he realized he doesn't have the speed to kick in the sprint so he makes cuts to avoid defenders coming from behind. And it may be a little of him afraid defender coming from behind to cause a fumble , like Clements.

I believe they both touched the ball once. Both of those carries were large gains. Let's see some more of Dixon and Westbrook.
Does anyone else think Dixon looks like a bobblehead when we runs?

This is nonsense. Raye didn't even know who the hell he was. He's not some mongaloid that doesn't know how to block, run, run routes and catch. It's more of an issue of them not knowing how in the hell to use him. They haven't defined his role. They have used him twice. 1 run for 6 yards and 1 screen pass for 19 yards.

They both need some touches. Gore needs the most, but I think he would be stronger with a little break. Westbrook especially.
But Dixon needs to improve his blocking to play more.

I agree. If it wasn't for that holding penalty, it was BIG DIX 4 SIX!

If Sing is too stubborn to take out Alex and Rachal when there's a better option on the bench, what makes you think he'll play these 2? Both of these guys touched the ball once and blew up with it yet Gore is going to have to get hurt for them to see sometime.

San Francisco: Frank Gore remains healthy and productive, but coach Mike Singletary told reporters Wednesday he hopes to get more carries for Brian Westbrook and Anthony Dixon in an effort to keep Gore from breaking down. I'll believe it when I see it, though. The 49ers have understandably had trouble removing Gore from the field. Westbrook and Dixon have fared well in limited reps, however. Veteran receiver Ted Ginn Jr. will continue handling both punt and kickoff return duties while rookie Kyle Williams recovers from a finger injury. Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis was limited in practice, but his knee injury is not expected to limit him Sunday. Of the other players on the injury report, only Delanie Walker (ankle) and Eric Heitmann (neck) are expected to be unavailable. Neither has played recently.

Agree! We need to get these guys on the field to give Gore a break & keep him fresher & healthy.
