I couldn't agree more. Gore is my favorite player on the team and is easily our best RB, but teams have keyed in on him and our O-Line isn't good enough for that not to matter. With Westbrook and especially Dixon, the defense will likely give different looks and ease up a bit on the run game. While neither is as good as Gore, they might have more success because of those different looks.

Disagree. Gore is a all purpose back who likes to run. Its just that we send him between the tackles. The 9ers limit Gore. Not the other way.

Yea, this sentiment is pretty common, but I don't think it's reasonable. Gore is better at everything than Westbrook or Dixon, no disrespect to them, so unless Gore is tired, neither should see any time.

If our starters arent getting it done, and in this case its Gore then we need to use the bench, we know what Westbrook can do, we know what Dixon can do. Use them and use them often. A fresher Gore hitting the gaps is a better Gore I say.
