that redzone run by dixon was f**kin nice, even though it was called back by a hold.

and we need to get westbrook involved in the passing game A LOT more
lol if that run to dixon would have counted, then his first 2 official carries of his career would have been rushing touchdowns
Sorry but in screen plays Westbrook>Gore. He always has been. 19 yards? The team can't use that? He may not be quite as amazing as he once was but what the hell is he doing sitting over there on sideline all game long? Last week he got one touch behind Iupata and it was good for 6 yards. Dixon had a great run today. They could stand to get these 2 more involved.

What's ridiculous is he's only had one official carry through 6 games because of that TD run being negated by Staley's holding penalty. He's shown glimpses of great running ability. They need to give him at least a handful of carries every game. Gore raped the raiders just like he did the last time they played, but it would have been nice to see Anthony Dixon get a few touches.

That has a lot to do with the respect the league has for Gore. When he's in, defenses focus on him - not only on running plays, but all passing plays as well. Westbrook commands a certain amount of respect himself, but he's obviously not what he used to be so teams ease off a bit. Too bad our offense just isn't potent enough to make them pay for things like that.

Gore's elite status is working against him because our offense isn't good enough to overcome a defense keying in on him. Singletary's stupid philosophies play a giant role in that.

How hard can it be to understand, from the coaches position? Too hard I'm thinkin..

walter payton never shared the ball. they won a superbowl.

therefore, gore should never share the ball.

Watching Gore get caught from behind on that long run today made me realized he just doesn't have that extra gear to be a great running back. Maybe it was late in the game and he was gassed. If he has just a little more extra jet, he would be a sure HOFer. Like most of us, I like Gore cause he runs tough.
WOW!

An actual Bryan Westbrook sighting! He must have snuck on the field for that play.

u havent been paying attention the last 5 years, he gets caught from behind a lot. his quick burst to get into the secondary is excellent but once he gets out there he rarely ever makes it into the endzone. if u look at his highlights theres a lot of long runs that he gets caught from behind on. still a great back tho.
I am good with Gore getting the Lion's share ...... but damn I want to see Westbrook and Dixon worked into every game ...... let's make Gore learn to share ......

yea really. He's usually getting caught from behind. However, if on that long run, he keeps running full speed towards the sideline, instead of trying to cut back inside, he might of scored.
WHO?

haha. but being from the Chicago area it is getting weird around here. The Bears fans have noticeably gone quite about the 85 team. Its all they had for a long time but it seems its disappearing from conversations.
