San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk insisted he had terminated his standard representation agreement (SRA) with agent Ryan Williams of Athletes First through the NFLPA back in November. According to a new report from Pro Football Talk, however, that wasn't the case.
Mike Florio reported that Aiyuk's SRA remained active as of Friday night. It was officially terminated on Saturday, and NFLPA records now list the wide receiver as unrepresented.
Aiyuk also remains on the 49ers' reserve/left squad list and reportedly has not yet filed the paperwork necessary for reinstatement.

On Saturday, Aiyuk took to social media once again, criticizing the 49ers while reiterating his desire to eventually join the Washington Commanders. In a video posted to Instagram, the wide receiver called 49ers general manager John Lynch "creepy" and compared head coach Kyle Shanahan's temperament to that of a "toddler."
"Aiyuk's next step should be to promptly petition the league office for reinstatement from the reserve/left squad list," Florio wrote. "Once that happens, Aiyuk will be in position to show up for training camp, which most likely would prompt the 49ers to immediately release him."
