No thanks to Holmgren, that ship has sailed IMHO. I would take Parcells as an overall football czar though. I believe he would clean house of all the prima donas and locker room cancers and fix the QB situation. HE WOULD EVEN FIND AND GET RID OF THE RAT!

Maybe if our dumb ass CB's during Manusky's "strip drills" weren't effing around and learning to secure the ball IN THESE SITUATIONS, we wouldn't be talking about this (esp. after the Bly-play last year). Just dumb. How many times have you seen other players INT at the end of the game and as soon as anyone was near them, they'd dive on the ground. Offense comes on, runs three kneel downs and the game is over. OUR PLAYERS ARE GAME STUPID! No game awareness. You can compare this to a short stop not covering a base for the final out of a game. You have to know where you are in a game.
The 49ers have had so many opportunities to help themselves out with the QB and HC position. Of the possibilities....

McNabb
Vick
J.Clausen
Mike Shanahan
Mike Holmgren
Mike Martz

and the list goes on. instead the niners kept singletary and alex smith, and this is what we get
stupid ???? who quits this week?????

It is incredulous to blame Nate. He made a play, then dude made a better play. Alex is the problem..
As bonehead of a play as that was by Nate, you still can't blame him more than Alexis.

So f**king frustrated...this is so true!!!!!
With everything that we did wrong, we still had a chance to ice the game with the clements INT. But once again Roddy White strips our DB fo the second year in a row. Last year was "Dre gon be Dre", this year its "Nate gon be Nate"...

The way our d had played all game, I thought we would stop them on those last two drives.. I was the fool for hoping I guess...
I have been saying all season that manusky needs to go, and I still blame him for letting the falcons throw all those out passes. (and not adjusting)

They ran like 3 plays over and over on those last 2 drives, and our d couldnt stop it, or recognize the same s**t over and over.

I also blame alex smith, the gloves are off.. Alex you are a nice guy, but you just don't have it, you will be a good backup QB in Dallas next year.
Guys I have come to believe that veteran leadership is sorely lacking on this sqad. Per Beerows, Nate ducked out of the locker room away from reporters.
Blaming Clements for this loss is really a dumb knee jerk reaction. Maybe you should blame him for intercepting the ball in the first place? That way the Falcons would have had a SHORTER field in which to score.

Inspite of the fumble, the Falcons only had just over a minute and a long field to move the ball to scoring position and yet, the 49er's failed to stop them.

If you really want to blame someone, how is it that the OFFENSE only managed to score 7 points? How many games do you really expect to win when your offense can only generate 7 points?
I blame the entire Defense and I blame Alex Leaf.
Sing and Alex Smith
