Ya and when the Patriots ride the spread like fu**ing Zoro, it's sheer football genius and some of the most exciting offensive football they've ever seen...f**k that fat b***h Lombardi and everybody like him.

Not to worry; the 9ers are working on installing a power running game so fatty McGee can piss and moan about that style of football next year. I can hear it already..."Ya but...they can only win games by controlling the clock, exploiting match ups with their tight ends to stretch the field and by playing solid defense"...seriously; F that fat B right in his fat, stupid A

It's almost here! I'm excited, I hope we win. Sing better have the team ready.
We should be able to push Seattle around the field at will, even if it is in there own house. Seattle is weakest at the most important places, offensive and defensive line.

Alex is good for 200 yards and a pair of TD's
Gore will probably be around 140 total yards and a TD
Our Defense will probably get 5-7 sacks and a couple INT's and a TD.

I have a funny feeling that Josh Morgan, Travis Laboy and Manny are going to have a big games and many Seahawks will get injured... Most notable the QB's. Pete Carrol will be educated on the difference between raw raw football and coach sing football.

Yeah I think this will be a blowout.

Everything I feared from Seattle has now been removed:

Alex Gibb retired 8 days before the season started - talk about rough blow.

Housh is in Baltimore.

Okung won't start.

Recipe for a blowout no?

I expect their DL to be the one aspect of their game that may give us fits. They seem to be pretty solid with Bryant comin' on strong.

What's your take on their DL, GM?

I just don't see a blowout. They are a division rivals and Hasselback is a good quarterback. I think the game will be kind of close. No matter what in Seattle is always a tough game. I want to see the niners secondary dominate this group of WR's. the defense should light up Hasselback. I think gore is gonna dominate this game due to Seattle's poor d line and very weak pass rush. But I cna't see a blowout. I say 24-13.

If we win the toss, do we defer and let our more experienced defense take the field first? To take the air out of the crowd, let our offense settle in before they take the field.

Or does Singletary go for it. Throw the Offense out there immediately and start wearing out Seattle's d line. I do have some worry about our 20 yr old RT and the effect of that 12th man/crowd noise on him.

First play on offense? Gore off LG. Let Iupati and Staley make a hole, then watch out. I expect Gore to have a big day.

Seattle's gonna be amped up at first, for sure. And Mike Williams has looked like a different guy at WR for them. He's BIG and has good hands, tho not the fastest guy in the NFL. Clements should be a perfect matchup on him--play him physical and up in his grill, take him out of his game.

BTW, anybody watch the Oakland/Seattle preseason replay? Balmer get ANY playing time? I watched a little, off and on, but never saw him.

Great point!

Given Singletary's history, deferring is not unlike a possibility given the circumstance. I can see it and it would make total sense giving our O the ball first in the second half and allowing our D to set the tone with their opening drive...Can you see a three and out?

It would completely deflate the audience and make it easier for Davis and Iupati when it comes to our turn.
At least I can hope...

That is my thinking as well.

However, given Singletary's straight ahead, damn the torpedos style, if we win the toss, I could see him taking the ball and "testing" the Offense right off the bat.

So far, I've been pleasantly surprised with how well the oline has played, and what a huge difference it makes to the run game as well as the passing game. The Seattle game will be a test for them, but that's why they pay'em the big bucks! I hope they kick *ss and take names!

As much as I am curious to see this new o-line with Baas, Iupati and Davis, I'm equally curious to see how Raye game plans for this one and his play calling throughout the game now that Alex is well versed in the offense. Are we going to attack their weaknesses?

Last year, we threw on them all game despite Gore always having career games against them. This year, I think we are more qualified to run against 8 and 9-men fronts. That said, everyone and their mother knows we drafted two first round linemen and essentially, have a new starter at Center. Will Seattle mirror what most teams did last year with great success and run blitz the middle gaps en route to stopping the run and sacking Smith leaving us in constant 3rd and longs? Will the defense make us prove we 1) Will pass and 2) Can pass?

Let the chess match begin!
