Then the 49ers will only run spread. I'd love to see Alex carve up defenses like a turkey.
my homer prediction

34-13

Smith 2 TD's
caught by Vernon and Morgan

Gore rushes for 2 TD's 120 yards

and 2 Nedney FG's

Fly, baby fly under that radar so noone can see us come like a freight train.. Blowing up their right Dline while Gore busts one, and then busts one again. Chomping up yards the way he was trained to do. Our Line busting through to the second level because Solari is a top-level coach getting his rookies ready to pound any team in the way.

(I'm not crowning him yet, but its looking like I was wrong about Anthony Davis. The Big Boy is looking good.)

We're leading the league in rushing in week 1 you so called NFL analysts. Keep talking about the Saints, Cowboys and Vikings cuz we're going to bust in through the back door on 9/12/10

our 49ers!

I never take the word of national reporters. I also feel that they just look at highlights, watch one or two games and then make their opinions from there.

Lombardi = Nate Davis homer. He wants to be "right" about Alex Smith failing.
You guys think if Gore rips off big yards like last year that coach will take him out since we got Westbrook and give time to Dixon as well, or leave him in there to send a message?

I think he should leave him in there... Unless we're up by like 30. I hope we take revenge on them for the s**t performance we had last year. Also, I hope we make a real statement for the haters that are still out in masses.

I think he has a point with Dixon, thought the same. I see how Gore could rack up yards especially if we strike first and cause a couple of turnovers. If we are up by 20 or more by the third, we could see a heavy dose of Dixon in the fourth where he can continue his happy treks to the endzone. Cool how he giggled on his way to the TD against the Chargers. Dude is going to be a beast.

Now, I think that our OL has a great chance to do well with some success in the beginning. Davis and Iupati have the confidence, you can see it. They get better every week it seems. Sure, they will have their mistakes, but they will learn from them, too. Hopefully, we can sustain our first drive and score to take the 12th man out.

Then, let our D dominate. Their OL is suspect because of inconsistency and injury, already. Even with that, I have seen makeshift OLs do well at times. I just don't get the sense with this though, too many negative factors especially with the bailing of their coach. Wow! That sucks for them because, IMO, they haven't had time to gel and one week's practice ain't cuttin' it.

Therefore, I expect our DL to get push up the middle while Manny, Parys, Travis and our new found pass rushing demon, Patrick make their way to Hasslebeck time and time again. Given how fresh Franklin is coupled with Smith's relentlessness with Ice and McD providing push, I could see inside blitzes all day especially with Bowman as relief given his speed. More importantly, it minimizes what he has to read or cover, just go get him works just fine for a rook.

It could get very ugly for them, quickly, while our run game takes over the clock to annihilate, slowly. Me likey!

Frickin' can't wait!!!

NFC West 2010 Season Preview

Seattle Seahawks
* Strength: Reports from coach's office indicate Pete Carroll is a complete football genius
* Weakness: Team is in their 10th year of humoring quarterback and Make-A-Wish cancer patient Matt Hasselbeck
* Player To Watch: Tackle Russell Okung is injured and may miss the season opener, so watching him will spare you from seeing the Seahawks play
* Intangibles: Billionaire owner Paul Allen is concentrating less on his team and more on hollowing out the earth so he can live inside it with the dinosaurs there

San Francisco 49ers

Strength: He may not be a Joe Montana, but Alex Smith is proving to be a better QB than Jim Druckenmiller, Gio Carmazzi, or Steve Stenstrom ever were
Weakness: Whatever head coach Mike Singletary is thinking at any given moment
Player To Watch: Veteran Brian Westbrook is always a threat to explode into a cloud of ligaments and bone
Biggest Question: If the 49ers are willing to let Glen Coffee go to follow Christ, what's to stop the entire team from following suit?
