Do you trust Dixon or M-Rob to Start if Gore is Injured?

Agreed. I have said before that I expect Dixon to some day be our replacement for Frank Gore. That or a great 1-2 punch until Gore retires. However, who knows if he is ready yet. We haven't even seen him in a pre season game yet. M-Rob is basically a special teams guy and I could see him out the door if he wasn't. I'd prefer to have Miller replace Robinson because he probably is a better fullback and he can play special teams. Heck, we can get rid of Norris and I wouldn't be bothered. This would eliminate 2 players and then we could bring in a veteran RB. Betts, Westbrook (huge injury question mark), Lynch (could be off field issues), etc would be the best bet. Out of those 3 I'd say Betts is the safest bet, Lynch probably has the most upside (still young too) but he will cost us a pick. The other two wouldn't.

The niners need to find another rb.

You really don't watch the 9ers do you? M Rob has many faults, being too small isn't one of them.

6'1 222 lbs. Research before you speak.
i trust dixon just as much as i trusted coffee

3% trust mrob.
Do we have a choice?
I don't have any reason to trust either Dixon or M-Rob. I have seen M-Rob already and from what Singletary has said Dixon needs work in all of the areas of being a RB.

I hope the new additions to the OL can open some nice holes for these guys or we pick up a veteran player who still has some skills. I would like Dixon to surprize me during the next few pre-season games. I also hope Dixon can pick up blitzes for the QB's sake.
Hell no m-rob is slow. As far as dixon goes well see if he gets a chance in preseason against first teamers and see how he how he plays
M-Rob has already proven he can be no more than maybe a special team-er. We will need to wait and see what Dixon got to offer. Therefore, we still need a veteran back to fill in the #2 back. When Gore goes down, we need someone we can sorta depend on not to turn the ball over, but more importantly, get key 4-5 yard gains.

How do you figure? Our Line has been sh@t. And we keep picking up RBs' that don't show any more than what you seem to believe MRob has shown.

I don't know whether or not to trust MRob or Dixon but...

I don't trust Coffee either. So really must we trash the guys we have left to feel better about ourselves?

Really?

Personally the handful of Carries that MRob has had hasn't proven that he's NOT capable.

That's okay though. If people want to trash him then I'm gonna root harder for the guy to succeed. Cause I believe that he CAN be successful, but we kept taking Backs in the draft rather than address the Line issue. This year we addressed the Line issue. And if they play downhill on the Run plays then I have confidence in our Run game.

Well maybe not the FB. But we could be pleasantly surprised. I remember when everyone trashed Sims when he subbed at RT. But when he subbed LT he shocked all of 9erdom. Similar things can happen in our Run Game.

I say go for Lynch or even trade for Reggie Bush if possible.
