Agreed. I have said before that I expect Dixon to some day be our replacement for Frank Gore. That or a great 1-2 punch until Gore retires. However, who knows if he is ready yet. We haven't even seen him in a pre season game yet. M-Rob is basically a special teams guy and I could see him out the door if he wasn't. I'd prefer to have Miller replace Robinson because he probably is a better fullback and he can play special teams. Heck, we can get rid of Norris and I wouldn't be bothered. This would eliminate 2 players and then we could bring in a veteran RB. Betts, Westbrook (huge injury question mark), Lynch (could be off field issues), etc would be the best bet. Out of those 3 I'd say Betts is the safest bet, Lynch probably has the most upside (still young too) but he will cost us a pick. The other two wouldn't.
