Hopefully Bowman breaks the third round jinx of the Niners. I mean how fricking hard is it to draft a player in the top 100 picks.

Gio Carmazzi, Glen Coffee, Reggie Smith, Ray Mcdonald, Brandon Williams, Adam Snyder, Derrick Hamilton, Andrew Williams, Saleem Rasheed......

Frank Gore already broke it...

I was pumped for the o-line and Coffee in preseason last year and then reality hit once the regular season started.

I don't know whether to believe the sources. Right now, I'm just a little skeptical.

Although it will be interesting to see how many snaps Dixon gets.

Seems like Coffee was running with a lot more of authority in the pre season. Maybe, once they told him that most of his PT was going to be on special teams maybe he wasn't going all out?

I'll give Coffee this year to truly judge him. Iupati and Davis will be upgrade run blocking on our OL.

EDIT Plus I think Chilo will get way better having Ray Brown coach him.

As many of you are passing judgement on Glen Coffee, I'd like you all to recall a certain Running Back that spent five seasons in the NFL before he fully realized his potential.

lol... It was known that Hearst could run, but he was oft injured. Didn't he win comeback player of the year.... twice?
I like Dixon much better and I haven't even seen him play yet.

Niners 3rd round draft picks have just been down right horrible. And what team in there right minds would trade for Coffee. You can find that type of back everywhere with out having to trade for one.

Going way back to 1979, here's a decent 49ers 3rd round pick.

Speaking of awesome former Niner RB's, I counter with Dexter Carter.

Wendell Tyler or Paul Hofer
i dont think coffee is that bad. if gore doesnt torch seattle a few times his average wouldnt have been too much better than coffees. our line was bad, could not make any kind of holes for these guys to run through. i do like dixon a lot but i dont think they should just forget about coffee, id like to see him get into the second level and deck a safety. hopefully Davis and Iupati can help him out with that.
Coffee sucks and I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't make it on the 53 man roster.

Who cares if our line sucked. The definition of a good running back is one that can get the tough yards. Any running back in the NFL could gain yards if the Oline is opening up holes. The question is, can Coffee break tackles, make people miss, or hit that second gear in the open field? I would say absolutly not!

He showed me nothing in three games.

Who's worse?

Kentwan Balmer or Glen Coffee?

Lets also throw in Chilo Rachal.

Balmer and Rachal have a chance to become decent players. Coffee can become average at best. I wonder if Scotty M was watching Ingram highlights and thought they were Coffee's?
Lets trade this fool
