Which receivers are getting the most first-team reps and who are returning punts and kickoffs

im gonna be looking for only three things.

1. taylor mays. ima huge taylor mays fan. i loved and watched him at USC and i think he is gonna be a huge part of this franchises success but i wanna see if he has loosened his hips up a lil and how much he has been working on his cover skills. i personally think he already has really good covering skills they just where not utilized at USC. so i am pretty interested in how he does this.

2. alex smiths passing. if the ball is leading and on time and alll that. i wanna know how much there practice has paid off. im excited to hear how he commands and leads also. i think he is gonna do good this year.. but i have a feeling the season after this one we will see him doing real work. i mean beatin ass real good. i think after three years in this offense he is gonna be one of the best QBs in the league.. that is my opinion.

3. the shape that anthony davis is in. i remember last OTA he was not in that good of shape. so i wanna know how he is doing. ima huge iupati fan. wanted them to get him bad but we cant really tell how good there gonna be without pads on. so yeah thats why im not wondering bout how well there gonna do. just how well of shape he is trying to get in.

and i know i only said three thiings but i wanna know how nate davis does.. if he gets any first or second team reps in. just to see how far along he has learned the offense.

any one else wanna say what there gonnna be looking for?

You know i was just thinking that. If Meyer's words come true then we should see a big improvement this year say top 15. its not a stretch to think year three in the same offense would help push him into top 5 rating. But...thats all IF Meyers words come true. He could just as easily be replaced week 8 by Carr and...we can kiss the West gbye.
What I would like to see through the media's eyes is progressive development.

I would like the rookies be able to handle the load.
I would like to hear of Alex's chemistry with his entire offense.
I would like to hear of Brooks and Goldson's continued progress as pass rusher and ball-hawk respectively.
I would love to see what Ginn brings to the table.
I would enjoy Iupati and Davis to play against the #1s
I would then enjoy J. Smith, Franklin and Ice school the youngin's for the first time.
I would then enjoy hearing of the retaliation by the rooks.
Specifically, I want to hear about Vann, Dixon, and Mays while keeping tabs on Iupati.
More than anything it just practice, but every little glimpse to this team's game only allows us that much more information to provide us with the knowledge of how our team's progressing.

Is the camaraderie there even with the rookies? Are the Vets participating in inclusion or is it just a job, do they believe in what Singletary is dishing out to the point of wanting to participate in the team any chance they get? This is just another practice like I said.

This practice it is just like family wanting to get back together. That mentality seems to be driving this team as you hear it in the recent interviews for 49ers.com. Still, their faces seem genuine, Ginn especially.

OTA...organized team activities...another excuse to enjoy my team.

You're not serious right?

I've pretty much watched him as a freshman and that has always been his knock.

So I'm not quite sure what coverage skills you were watching, his instincts also aren't up to par.
nothing! cause technically we can't watch anything... its just the words of the press and what they think they see! OTA's are OTA's!
1. I want to see some of the impact of Solari and Brown on the oline.

2. I want to see continued development out of our OLBs. Not sure how anyone would report it if they saw it.

3. Get some idea of how our CBs and Safeties are functioning including coverage issues with Mays.

4. How the return game looks at this stage of development and how Vann and Ginn are doing and how they will share the load with who?

5. How A. Smith is throwing and is he able to lead the receiver with the ball so it is caught in stride.

6. The rapport between Smith and his receivers.

7. See who our backup NT is and how he is developing.

If we get positive feedback on each of these 7 questions this season should be great for us.
i wanna see alex take charge of the offense, yell at players who make mental errors, audible out of a bad play to a good one and use his mobility to complete passes as opposed the good ole roll right and chuck it out of bounds
If Alex is actually more confident in year two of the same play book, I would look for him to "throw his receivers open", rather than wait for his receivers to get open. Throwing his receivers open is what makes Peyton Manning such a great QB. And "throwing them open" only comes from confidence in where they will be when the ball arrives.

If T Mays shows off coverage skills, I will be delighted. But I am looking forward to hearing that Reggie Smith was always around the ball, and didn't hurt his legs.
