So from what I gather thus far (out of Jed), is that we're following within the FO management strategy of the Minnesota Vikings/Dallas Cowboys. (No GM, just a VP/Exec of Player Personnel, and Jed will being pulling the trigger on coaching staff/player procedures.)

It might be a smart move, too, seeing that we haven't had the best judgment in hiring/entrusting within the right GMs over this entire decade to possess that type of 'defacto' power position.
