If it's a personal matter why Scott is leaving, then it's personal and none of our business. We don't have a right to know his personal life. Now, if people want to speculate as to why Scott left then fine. But, blaming all this on Jed York is just wrong and really making him the scapegoat. There could be all sorts of reasons why this was the best thing for Scott and the team. All that matters is its an internal issue that was taken care of and we have a back up plan. Blaming everything on York maybe be the popular thing to do, but in this instance it's uncalled for.

I think Jed is doing a great job too. It's not his fault this happen right now and it's good to see Jed take a step and fix the problem right away.

Sorry, but Jed is not doing a great job right now. He just fired his GM before the draft - that's surreal.

Don't get me wrong. I like Jed's passion and he reminds me of his uncle. But remember, before Eddie got it right he got it tragically wrong when he hired Joe Thomas as his first GM.

So far today, Jed had made two profoundly aggredious errors.
1) He doesn't think he needs a GM
2) He sees Alex as the future.

He doesn't think he needs a GM? What do you want him to do, higher someone off the street? The draft board is 90-95% done, free agency is slow so why not take time to hire the right GM?

Alex Smith isn't the future? Rather you like it or not he is the future. Did you want him to say "Alex is not the future" WTF would that accomplish?

Well I have to agree, saying Alex Smith is the future right now, is a little premature. What if he bombs this upcoming season....will Alex Smith still be the future??

......I'd hope not.

it will be state of the art........handicapp access at Candlestick leaves a lot to be desired though.

Goal #1. "To find an offensive line with some teeth that can bite." They feel they have done that with guys like OT Anthony Davis and OG Mike Iupati.

Goal #2. "To add depth and speed in the secondary." They feel they have done that with guys like Taylor Mays and Karl Paymah from the Vikings.

Goal #3. "Getting a punt returner." Singletary mentioned trading for Ted Ginn Jr. and drafting WR Kyle Williams.
