We were spoiled about 10 years ago. Now were like the ugliest child in a foster home.

We haven't won jack in 15 years. Our franchise isn't what it once was, don't kid yourself.

No we're not is it wrong that we want to see a winning team? Yes we've had some great players and great seasons but we want to continue seeing that I look at teams like the Steelers and even the Cowboys who have also had great seasons and players but they continue to produce year in and year out and we have fallen so much these past 10 plus years.

I voted no. We have been wandering in the desert for too many years. Simply
put we shouldn't have to be gone that long. The hated Plowboys have reloaded since
there glory years and are at least competitive in a very tough division.
We've chosen some horrible HCs and front office personnel, and I realize it takes time to recover. However, this year I would hope that we don't make the offensive
gameplan swings that we have over the past couple of years. Maybe have the same OC (whether you think he is asleep alot or not) and some good O-Line coaches will make a difference. When you couple that with the fact that we have 4 draft choices in
the top 100 draftees, if we don't screw that up we should make the leap.
I am not one to suscribe to the theory that the Cards loosing Warner, and the Hawks
and Rams rebuilding should let us rest. Until our entire division becomes stronger we
won't get any respect from the rest of the league, even if we win our division.

The 49ers were not a good franchise before the 80's either.
No, definitely not spoiled.

Very true, but the team went through about a 20 year stretch where we were contenders for a championship nearly every year.

Yeah but you can trace strong influence from the last years in the late 90's to the early 80's team. In other words, this Franchise has never shown any capability of excellence that does not involve Walsh or Debartalo.
Franchises like the Steelers and the Cowboys win Super Bowls with entirely different pieces across decades.
I also happen to be a Laker fan and would consider myself spoiled, even when the Lakers have their droughts too I still thought I was spoiled.
As a Niner fan I never felt spoiled, I was actually quite curious how the next regime was going to turn out, the first regime with no connection to the Glory Days at all.
Well, I am not curious anymore

Hell yeah especially when it comes to quarterbacking.
Most seem to think that winning is our birth-right but 5 superbowls in 14 years will do that to you.

I started following football in the late 80's and growing up I always thought the niners would be winners. 1999 was a big wake up call, when Young went to down it was over. That year was a complete shock to me, I never knew what a losing a season was until then.
