Don't count on it. I have come to believe that some people don't have the capacity to spot sarcasm. It is strange.
And, speaking of sarcasm, Raye's interview was pretty funny. He said he was surprised that the running game wasn't as consistent as it was on some of his past teams. The problem, he went on to say, was that on one team he had Earl Campbell and the other example was Eric Dickerson running behind one of the best lines in NFL history.
Maybe I don't get it, but didn't he just make the argument that his offense is not appropriate for this team?
So, all the very faithful have to wait for is an all-pro running back and an all-pro OL. Should happen any year now. Blame management if they don't draft all these guys because other teams certainly won't be looking for players like that.
That last line is an example of sarcasm.
