Our defense looked great all day long. Early pressure took Warner out of comfort zone, and it wasn't until late in the third quarter he looked like he was getting comfortable. I was a little worried with our offense committing 3-and-out after 3-and-out, but even with the defense wearing down we gave a great offense all they could handle with pressure and great coverage. And after our TD in the 4th quarter (after the defense was given a chance to breathe) they came out and looked great AGAIN.
This is very good news, next week should be another big test as Hasselbeck looked like his old self again (of course it was against the Lambs).

You take what they did today and keep making it better each time and the D could be real monsters before the seasons over.

Team win...both sides of the ball. And it'll continue to get better.

it's quite clear to me after this game that our strength resides in our defense
nicely surprised by our coverage our and pressure on Warner (who is a quick releaser don't forget)
but don't put haralson on pass coverage : the guy has not enough speed !

From what it looked like Manny spent more time on the other side of the line then he did staying in coverage.
Quite a bit different then how Nolan used him.

By the way, its amazing what an 80 yard offensive drive will do for reinvigorating the defense! That was just in the nic of time.
Big Kudos to Justin Smith -- his motor in the 4th quarter was huge for us. And you could tell all his teammates realized it to.
DBs deserve a lot of credit - didn't see any broken coverages. That was big.

Sounds like Lawson got some consistent pressure, and Haralson and Smith played well. How did Franklin and Sopoaga play? How did Spencer, Clements and Brown/Bly play? Any sightings from Goldson and R. Smith in the backfield?

The passing offensive drive in the 4th quarter salvaged this game for us.
We couldn't figure out our running game was going nowhere until the 4th quarter.
We can't do this every week.
When our defense is rested, it looks VERY GOOD.
How funny the preseason is.
No pressure, yet we run all over the opponents.
So when the regular season starts, we get great pressure, but average 1 yard a carry in the running game.

Props to he defense as a whole unit , did good job against the pass and run , Most of the cards yards came on the quick check offs to Hightower , And also nice pressure on Warner all day .

The secondary played an excellent game all around. Fitz and Boldin were both locked down for most of the game. Hightower was the leading receiver because everyone was covered down field.

Yep, they played exactly like they did at the beginning of the game with the rest they got.
