My message to the niners is this.


#1 If you think that Craptree is that good then pay the guy what it takes and get him on the team. The longer this s**t plays out the worse it is for the team.


#2 If you dont think he is that good and you dont want to over pay for him then just make a business decision and let him walk. Try to trade his rights after the season.


Basically either pay him or let him walk. The ball is in the niners court, its clear that this douche will not play for anything less.

just read it too, i have been thinking lately how undertalked about of a side of this situation this has been. bad teams make bad moves even when it isnt completely their fault. they did not do proper due diligence on this guy at all

Sometimes the very simple things should be very clear...... When Michael Craptree showed up with his "cousin & posse" in his pre-draft interviews, most teams already saw a Red Flag, at least the first 9 teams that did not draft him ahead of the 9ers and if not for the 9ers pulling the trigger at 10 spot, we never will know how many other teams would have passed on the supposed "best player in the draft".

I agree, a team has gootz to do their "HOMEWORK"!

That being said, the 9ers cannot allow this circus to drag on. If Craptree dont sign prior to this weekend Hawks game..... then enough, take control, put his silly butt on freeze until 2010, then TRADE HIM!

Weez got a NFC West Title to focus on!

to me the argument that 9 teams passed on him because of "red flags" is stupid lets look at the top 10 again some of the teams had more pressing needs the WR


Lions-they needed a QB bad
Rams.Could have used a WR but they needed to shore up the line especially with pace always hurt and eventually leaving
Chiefs-Could have used him as well.But there D was bad needed help there
Seahawks-if they didnt sign housh i beleive they would have drafted him
Jets-They needed a QB
Bengals,Ochocinco, Coles and Henry, no WR needed
Raiders. they are just stupid
Jags.they could have used him.
Packers no need for WR

To me the only team that really needed a WR as there number 1 issue was the Raiders but they are stupid and draft based on how fast a guy can run.

So to me this notion that all the 9 teams passed on him because of these "red flags" is ridiculous.

Really? Roy Williams AND a 2nd round pick? So you trade a proven veteran for a whiny little punk who hasn't played a down in the NFL, and on top of that, you surrender your 2nd rounder. OK, I know Jerry Jones is getting up there in years, but this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me. The Cowboys aren't giving up any of their stars for Crabtree. The only star we'll be able to land for him is Patrick Star.

You were joking, yet you still think we can trade crabtree by week 6? I'm confused.

this is a dead issue, but I thought that as long as crabtree was actually SIGNED; he could still be traded to another team by week 6 (which is the nfl trade deadline). I was under the impression that the other trade deadline which passed a month ago or so, was for unsigned picks where we'd essentialy trade his RIGHTS to another team. and then that team would still have to work out a contract and sign him. maybe i'm wrong. idk.

He only took up 2 Offensive linemen on the last play in AZ on a stunt to free up Justin Smith for the game winning sack. Yeah, what a loser.

V there is more than that. The Bengals also spent 2008 2nd and 3rd round picks on WR's and The Jags spent both their 1st day picks this year on OT's.

Secondly, did he really have pre-draft visits with all 9 teams ahead of us ? And if he did were his cousin and posse along with him on each of those visits ?

Thirdly, who's to say the Browns did not already have that deal with the Jets done in principle prior to the draft and the Browns started to spread the rumor in hopes that he would drop past Oakland and possibly trade back up to nab him ? The Browns certainly were looking to improve the WR talent on their team seeing as they signed 2 FA's and drafted 2 other WR's. If the scenario did not play out for Cleveland they still would add 3 players via the Jets (FWIW all 3 are starters in Cleveland) and gain an additional 2nd rounder and not have to pay top 5 money to a draft pick.

BigMar certainly reads too much into things and blatantly twists things around to make his points.
