just read it too, i have been thinking lately how undertalked about of a side of this situation this has been. bad teams make bad moves even when it isnt completely their fault. they did not do proper due diligence on this guy at all

Everyone is well aware that he should have been drafted before DHB, but he should have thought of that when he didn't run a 40, didn't participate in the combine and had a supposedly bad interview with Cleveland. He needs to suck it up and either sign or don't sign, those are his options. If the Niners would have passed on him at 10, it would have been the second dumbest move of the draft behind the Raiders drafting DHB.

The bottom line for me is this: it's not the Niner's fault he fell, it's his own. Sorry, but he needs to face facts. If the rumor about them offering a contract up to a dollar less than Raji, then he should just take it and be done with it. That's more than fair in my opinion and the Niners aren't going to move higher than that.

Sometimes the very simple things should be very clear...... When Michael Craptree showed up with his "cousin & posse" in his pre-draft interviews, most teams already saw a Red Flag, at least the first 9 teams that did not draft him ahead of the 9ers and if not for the 9ers pulling the trigger at 10 spot, we never will know how many other teams would have passed on the supposed "best player in the draft".

I agree, a team has gootz to do their "HOMEWORK"!

That being said, the 9ers cannot allow this circus to drag on. If Craptree dont sign prior to this weekend Hawks game..... then enough, take control, put his silly butt on freeze until 2010, then TRADE HIM!

Weez got a NFC West Title to focus on!

Next years first rounders will not try the same threat regardless of what the niners do with Crabtree. All the draft picks next year have to understand that in 2011 there could be a lockout or a stuctured draft pay scale. No one is going to threaten to hold out with that knowledge.
