I'm not pissed off at Crabtree because I understand that this is a negotiation, but I don't buy the threats of sitting out the whole year. The whole reason that he's holding out is because he wants a certain amount of money, and holding out an entire year would get him further away from that. I don't think it's anything more than a negotiation tactic. I think they'll string it out as long as they can, but I'd be shocked if he didn't sign. He'd cost himself a ton of money.

We've already gone past the "point of no return."

At this point, it is beyond obvious the 49ers will not back down.
At the same time, pride is on the line as well.

Can Crabtree and his posse deal with "getting snubbed"?

That is the question right now.

Naw, schefter reported that this morning and said "could" also Jay Glazer also with good insider knowledge said his sources expect crabtree to sign, however the 49ers are going to send a letter this week stating their offer will go down for every game crabtree misses.

wait glazer said he expects crabtree to sign? thats actually good news imo.
I just wanna say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! To Michael Crabtree!!!

Sign baby.... just sign! Prove the doubters Wrong!

Go 49ers!!!

call me a sellout, but i really hope he signs. thats basically the only reason why i am still in this thread. i check this page everyday hoping to see a positive BREAKING NEWS link about cashtree..

I think most people are with you.

But Crabtree would have a WHOLE lot of explaining to do before fans would warm up.

Of course, touchdowns might be good enough. Fans will gladly trade them for hurt feelings.

After a few TDs everyone will forget about it. Hopefully

According to the Texas Tech site, Crabtree's people were in negotiation Thursday and Friday of last week, and they told the niners that Crabtree would take LESS than DHB, but that he wanted more than 16 mil up front because he felt the incentives were unreachable based on the niner QB play.
Just rumor of course, but the TTU pay site has been very reliable with insider information all season. Probably that is why it is a pay site.

link or lie

lol, well I could put the link on here, but it would tell you to pay x-dollars a month for access.

I believe that's what Deion Sanders said as well bro. He will sign soon, I'm positive about the situation.

I'm feeling positive about the situation right now & hope to hear that he signs tommorrow.

True bro tommorow is Crabtree's birthday! Sign baby!

Happy Birthday Crabtree! Now sign your contract & take your $16+ million dollars present & play some football.

Pay the man his money....

Why? We can win without him, and he'll be an issue long-term if we allow him what he wants after throwing this tantrum. It's like a little kid, if you're not going to eat the dinner we made for you then you're going to bed hungry.

Common Crabtree, smarten up and eat your dinner!

We won one game (barely) without him

the run game didnt look good at all

Now if we signed him originally, he would have been playing.

Who would you rather throw to? D.Walker or Crabtree? (Walker got multiple looks this game)

Don't get me wrong, I want him in a Niner uniform as much as the next guy. I just think at this point it would be detrimental to cave on his contract demands, as it would only foster future demands with him and many other players. He'll be very limited in what he can do for us this year now anyways, so no reason to cave after one game and give the guy whatever he wants.
Happy B-Day Crabs.

Come on Crabs, sign. We need you to be a Niner.

Go ahead no one cares ! sit out all year and lose all that money , oh and by the way the team you don't want to play for is a winner b***h !
Wait a minute...you mean the NFL went ahead and played w/o the great Michael Crabtree? How dare they start the season without the greatest WR in 20 years being signed.

*Note to Crabtree, the NFL doesn't care about you and your oversized ego. Keep sitting out and you will soon be long forgotten!

The point of no return is when you can't sign him anymore. We're not there yet. Sure, ego & pride are on the line, but so is a crapload of money. Continuing to hold out is a high risk/low reward scenario for Crabtree in that respect.
