also Jay Glazer also with good insider knowledge said his sources expect crabtree to sign, however the 49ers are going to send a letter this week stating their offer will go down for every game crabtree misses.

Was it not, more specifically, that the 49ers had already sent the letter earlier this week, and that if by gameday (today) he did not sign, they would reduce the money?

The whole reason that he's holding out is because he wants a certain amount of money, and holding out an entire year would get him further away from that. I don't think it's anything more than a negotiation tactic. I think they'll string it out as long as they can, but I'd be shocked if he didn't sign. He'd cost himself a ton of money.

call me a sellout, but i really hope he signs. thats basically the only reason why i am still in this thread. i check this page everyday hoping to see a positive BREAKING NEWS link about cashtree..
