He hasn't proved nothing yet. Let him prove he is a gem first. Personally i think it will do wonders for him to just sit for a year or two and learn the ins and outs of being an Olinemen in the NFL because the guy has talent.

He will be one of the players I will be paying the most attention to in the first preseason game. He should get plenty of playing time against those young Denver pass rushers.

They just started to knock off the dirt so you can't tell if he is is a diamond or just glass yet but it would be great if we could uncover a gem and say goodbye to Sims.

hes an undrafted player if he makes the team he is already a steal and if he improves his footwork (already has strength) i can see him starting RT for us in 2 or 3 years

Furthermore, if the 9ers waive Boone and then try to re-sign him to their practice squad, I feel strongly another NFL team will claim him as soon as he hits the waiver wire.
Smarter to release over the hill Barry Sims at this point of his career as he is going to get our Q.B. killed.
Rather bank on Boones potential than Sims sucky play.

I read that Boone was projected as a 4th round pick right up until his situation occurred just before the draft. Talk about poor timing.
Positive things are being written I suspect he will be on the bubble and depending on circumstances (scared will not pass waivers ) they may put him on 53 man roster, very strong possibility will be on Practice Squad.
