-This is a crucial week for players on the bottom of the roster according to Singletary, who made the comment in response to a question about Alex Boone. "We're pleased with what we've seen but we need to see more in a hurry. We are going to turn it up for a number of guys."

I really hope he turns it up. Not only would it be a good story we could really use the depth.

And I have got to add that I was at the last TC practice and I thought that Chilo and Baas were big ----- but damn for pure size Boone caught my eye and I had to look up who number 75 was. He is good at run blocking and I hope that he ends up having fast enough feet for pass protection too. I would be a bit worried if we put him on our PS.

Yeah he is a big mo fo. I know Orakpo kind of beat up on him when they played each other, but against the Wolverines as a sophmore he stood up Woodley and guys like that so he has the talent. I would be worried if we tried to put him on the practice squad too.

I hope the 9ers are not foolish enough to try and pass Boone thru waivers and re-sign him to our pratice squad, because some other team will CLAIM him before we get the chance. Boone is an up and comer.... Sims is way over the hill!

Agree with what you are saying. I suspect Sims will get cut

Im all for that also. Boone looks just as good as Sims right now and Sims has hit his ceiling, Boone has not.

There it is!
The season is over. Time for Boone to get some playing time IMO. I doubt he could be any worse than Davis at RT.

Boone. DO IT.

I vote to never call another man a "gem" ever again.

what about JIM?
Probably is, Singletary is not a good evaluator of talent or anything for that matter.

_______

He'll inevitably be called "Jimmy" which will either make him an uneducated auto mechanic, or necessitate an unusually sleazy mustache. Society loses in either case. Except on national mustache day.
